They put a splint on which is all he needed, washed him, trimmed his nails, and gave him wonderful meds for the pain none of which the other one did either. Total recommendation to come here for excellent treatment beyond what is expected! ;) RID: 46967
Click to report rating    9/1/10   2     3     1     3   The tests were the same price as anywhere, and a little higher than some places. No appt. needed. The people at the desk were rude both times. I need more professionalism and courtesy than what is offered. I believe that the prices at St. Paul were historically more competetive, but I don't think this is the case now; so would rather go somewhere cleaner with more presentable receptionists and doctors RID: 19516
Click to report rating    7/14/10   3     1     3     3   I have been going to st paul for many years, I always had a good experience there with my pets. I refer st paul to many people and usually they are satisfied as well. Recently one of the vets performed a surgery on a close friend of mines dog. The doctor was very nice but a bit misleading, her dog needed some type of orthopedic surgery and he made it seem as if he did many of them. Unfortunately he didnt. Her dogs surgery failed twice while the dog was there, and one more time when she took her dog home. She ended bringing her dog back within a week and had the owner of clinic re-do the mess up. Now her dog is fine. They do have many good vets there you just need to do your research. Ask questions. Remember would you want someone right out of school operating on you? Cheap is not always the best thing. RID: 18771
Click to report rating    4/7/10   3     3     3     4   Front desk staff is very nice as are most of the Vets. No appointments necessary or provided here which means you could end up waiting a long time, even if you have a surgery or something similar scheduled. Although the prices are some of the best in town, basic services (such as nail trims) may be performed by technicians which in my case resulted in a dog whose nails were cut too short and bled. The explanation was "it's the tech's fault" and that "some customers ask us to cut them as short as possible." RID: 17423
Click to report rating    5/24/07   5     5     5     5   I have been taking my pets to St Paul Vet for nearly 20 years. They have changed owners over the years but it's still the same great care at the same affordable prices and the new facility is fantastic. Their hours are more than accommodating and not needing an appointment is a plus. My animals actually look forward to going to see the vet thanks to St Paul Vet! RID: 4105
Click to report rating    5/24/07   4     3     5     5   Definately a working mans vet as their ad states. Love that no appointments are needed, and that they are open late on weeknights/sat. I took my adopted pit there at 8:29 on a Tuesday night and we were in/out by 8:50! Definately the most economical place to go for shots/services. Its no frills, but if that keeps cost low and care high... I dont mind. The staff is definately busy (most likely due to the high volume of animals they treat) but still take time to care/talk to you and your pet...Do not worry about the location, it is convieniently located off the freeway by 2 blocks or so. I have recommended many friends to this location. I will continue to take my dog there!!! RID: 4102
Click to report rating    2/3/07   5     4     5     4   We take both of our rotties there and the staff is very professional and caring while evaluating our pets condition! The location is a wee bit in the hood but the care and value is by far high on the priority list. Top notch Vets prompt service and your family members well being is priority 1 here at St. Pauls Vet Clinic RID: 2565
Click to report rating    1/25/07   5     5     5     5   We have had our dog for 9 years and just got 2 new pups and have been going to St. Pauls forever. Not only is their staff friendly, but the prices are extremely affordable. We all want the best care for our pets, so why not get fabulous care and great vets?!? Yes, people think it isnt in a great location, but it is right off the dowtown expressway. So its not in the hardcore "Ghetto" as people say. Dont let the location sway your choice! Their hours are accommodating to people with everyday jobs. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and great! Click to report rating    12/6/06   5     5     5     5   They have wonderful vets available, great hours, great prices, and I highly reccomend them to anyone, especially those with more than 1 pet to keep the prices down, or those with limited means for money when it comes to your pet. RID: 1117
