I am very happy with the kindness and support I have received. My veterinarians have always been knowledgeable, kind, and take the time needed to explain any questions I have had. I am very grateful for the quick response I have gotten for any medical issues that have arisen. The front line staff has always been courteous, professional, genuine, kind, and friendly. The premises are clean and overall the clinic seems to be managed very well. What I appreciate most is the knowledgeable understanding of medical issues that are impacting my pet. I am very grateful for the wonderful service provided.

i-Care saved my furbaby Titus' life and continues to provide for all of his needs. Staff members care deeply for animals and are highly skilled and extremely competent. I absolutely recommend I-Care to all pet parents.

I have 3 dogs whom a various times have needed to go to the vet. I am always impressed with Dr Mortenson and his clinic. The staff and vets are caring and thorough. Rhett has even offered ideas to keep medication costs down. It have had follow up calls after dental surgery to make sure our animal is doing well. I wouldn’t consider taking my pets anywhere else!

We have used this vet hospital since it opened. We recently had to have our 17 year old dog put down and the compassion and kindness from the clinic was something I will never forget. I was in great distress and Phadra went above and beyond with her compassion in the situation. We had to visit the clinic again yesterday and the receptionist Andy was so sweet and professional and was constantly making sure things were wiped down. Thank you Andy. The Vet was incredible with our cat and explained everything in terms I could understand. I left there knowing our new cat is in the best hands. I am also so excited as i hear Dr. Rhett will be back soon. Thank you to all of you who helped with our dog and cat.

We have used Coombs Vet Hospital for our Dog since she was a puppy over 6 years. Although Dr. Rhett is very good and knowledgeable...the rest of the staff and Vets could use some work. As the hospital has grown and brought in new vets, you never know who is going to see you plus the facility seems to lack maintenance and house keeping. We are moving on!

The Vets and staff at Coombs Vet Hospital are wonderful. Dr. Rhett and the other Vets are very thorough and really listen to the owner when making a treatment plan.The staff are knowledgeable and very understanding, always eager to help in any way they can. I would highly recommend this Vet Clinic to anyone needing Vet services! Love them all!!

Was well worth the time to drive there from Nanaimo. Dr Rett and his staff were amazing. They always followed up with us and returned phone calls promptly. A visit there was never rushed, always very informative. It was a pleasure doing business there and would recommend this clinic to anyone who loves there pets. Unfortunately we had to move away so the search is on for a new clinic as awesome as coombs.

Amazing, not much more to say. Was given option of referral surgery down island, but choose to have Coombs do the fracture repair. My dog is doing wonderful. Seen two vets there and both were fantastic. Everything explained in detail.

Amazing clinic and wonderful staff. They fit me in right away when I was worried about my cat, and they do in house bloodwork so I was able to get the results right away. Very impressed with the service and will definitely be bringing my pets there from now on.

Dr. Mortensen is excellent. The best vet ever. Knows his stuff, and is compassionate. I would give this clinic a 5/5 except for their receptionist Kimberly, who is just arrogant. I still go for the vet though as he is that good.

Dr. Rhett Mortenson was far better involved with his customers before he took some micro course. He enlisted this other vet that almost charged for the air you breath and turning a door knob. Did not enjoy his snotty attitude nor his condescending talk. The level of care dropped like a stone and we have never been back. Talking to a few other people, they quite this clinic as well because of sporadic charges and lousy care. If there was a lower rating, I would give it...don't go there!

Best vet hospital I've ever come across, and I've moved around a lot in my life so have experienced quite a few. Dr. Rhett & his team are fantastic, thorough, trustworthy, friendly, helpful, and they really care about your pets and you as a customer. Wouldn't go anywhere else.

I love all of you guys! What am I going to do without you once we move?! I will really miss you all.
Dr Rhett said he knows lots of good vets on the mainland. The lady vet we had in Surrey was good-she actually had golden retrievers at home so very familiar with the breed. Might consider going back there. From Langley it's about a 30 min drive...doable but not that close.
I've never ever received the type of care, empathy, concern, and service that you provide, from any other veterinary hospital. Ever.
You guys mean a lot to me.
P.S. YOU are awesome in all the things you take care of there.

Dr. MORTENSON operated on my dog Widget for hereditary leg defect. I took my dog in pain and received a pup full of love and the ability to run with no pain!! I always leave the clinic with a smile on my face they really care. Thank you to everyone. !!!!

I absolutely love this clinic. They are friendly and warm and I am always treated like family when I walk through the doors. Dr. Rhett Mortenson is amazing. I have never met anyone so devoted to animals and gives great advice. I'd never go anywhere else.

An excellent clinic. The staff is experienced and caring, and Dr. Mortensen is an excellent surgeon and diagnostician. His work is of the highest caliber. He doesn't rest on his laurels, but is constantly updating by attending seminars and taking courses on the latest research and techniques in his field. Highly recommended.

I cannot speak highly enough of Coombs Veterinary Hospital and recommend them 100%! I've dealt with a number of local Vets over the years and I worked as a Vet Assistant for a time, but I've never been to a better place than Coombs Vet. They are so kind, helpful and understanding. They are very knowledgeable and always explain things to me in detail- I think educating pet owners is great, and it helps us take the best care possible of our beloved pets. They are very honest and trustworthy and I always come away feeling like they truly care about my pets more than anything else, and for me as an owner as well. I have never felt pressure to agree to procedures I could not afford and never have they suggested anything that wasn't totally necessary, they have always done what is most important and have given me all my options. They have gone above and beyond for us and for others we know several times. Dr. Mortenson is a wonderful person and a fantastic Veterinarian.

When no one else could figure out what was wrong with my dog, Dr. Mortenson did! I had spent over $2000 on test at another clinic and no answers, 10 minutes with Dr. Mortenson and he knew. I will be forever grateful for "Rhett the vet".

I found one of the staff members quite rude the other lady that I met was nice though. The vet seemed fine to me. I called to leave a message about my injured dog and never received a response back. The call was made during business hours. When I called back I was put on hold for 15 minutes before I gave up.

Rhett and his staff were excellent with myself and my family. We came to him in an emergency when our old vet would not see our dog. Rhett and his staff were excellent with us. We continue to use him on a regular basis and I would recommend him to anyone.

Dr. Rhett is awesome!! Even though I had never met him, when I called his clinic in an emergency, he came immediately to my home, when my previous vet refused to help me as my old dog was suffering a heart problem and I could not move her..Another emergency arose with my other dog being hit by a car and at 7:30 am, he met me at the clinic and did what he could for him..I would not take my dogs anywhere else..He has such a big heart and that is hard to find..Keep up the good work, Rhett

Great clinic. My dog had a stick caught in its throat and I showed up in a panic at 5pm and they helped me immediately. The vets started working on sally right away and the staff sat with me updating me the entire time. Even though we were there till late in the evening, they never charged me for anything extra. The next day I got a call from the Dr. and he was so nice. I will never go anywhere else.

Been going for years, and Dr was very good while you are there. The down side is the clinic has become dirty and unorganized. Had testing done, and never got the results. Called several times, and left messages with receptionist to speak with the Dr for the results, never heard back from Dr. or staff. No follow from clinic. Will not be returning and do not recommend.

Dr. Rhett Mortensen is a friendly vet that comes across enthusiastic but does not follow through. He recommends testing for my pets. Including ultrasounds. We were very worried regarding their health. Never received the results from the test after requesting it several times. Office staff will not give message to Vet that you would like him to call back. Called emergency number more than once on the weekend and did not get call back. Very dissatisfied.

Dr. Rhett Mortenson has done a fine job with our animals. Check-ups are carefully done. He is really enthusiastic about his work and he is computer-literate. He spends a lot of time consulting with his colleagues on VIN. His office staff employees are always efficient. Facilities are modern. He has a digital dental X-ray machine, so we got to see really good pictures of out cat's teeth. Appointments have always been prompt. I don't think we have ever waited at all. The hospital gives good value both money-wise and time-wise. He takes a lot of time with his clients explaining details and options. I would recommend this hospital.
