I brought my sick bulldog it to the clinic.When I got in I realized that I lost my wallet.I was so embarressed but They said he would see her.When he came in the room the first thing he said was to assure me that maddy would be taken care of and I would get any medication she needed ,I was so gratefull.My little dog was in such pain with an abcess in her eye.Than You Dr.Jay

Best veterinarian I have encountered in my 15 years of dog ownership. I've moved around a lot and have regularly visited a variety of vets across BC & Alberta, and Dr Snopek is by far the most informed, yet down to earth & compassionate veterinarian I have come across. Wait times can be long some days, however as others have mentioned they also doesn't push you out the door. Highly recommended.

I waited for over 30 minutes even though they weren't busy. The staff was rude and I ended up walking out. This clinic wants your money and that's it. I would never recommend this clinic to anybody. Good thing my dog wasn't dying!

Excellent in all ways. Dr. Snopek: focused listener-every question answered thoroughly-welcoming respectful manner-complete devotion to my Pets health-shares his knowledge willingly-genuinely LIKES my Cats-exceptionally fair Fees. Support Staff:consistently helpful- professional-always go "the extra " mile- Medical Facility and Office: Consistently fastidious standards of maintenance-pleasant atmosphere-facility clearly meets human and animal needs-All My Cats have been very professionally served and appreciated for about 30 years. Dr. Snopek is exceptional.

Quite Expensive but the quality of care is reflected in the cost! and I would rather pay up front and get exceptional care the first time around. I appreciate the highly knowledgeable and down to earth staff who always make me feel like my pets are their #1 priority. I also appreciate that I have never felt pressured by the doctors or staff, they help me make an educated decision for my pets well being

Stay far away-Dr. Snopek if you love your pet. He only wants the $$$, expensive, no listening skills, he will treat your pet like a car, few procedures are covered under warranty. He doesn’t care for your pet’s well-being; he actually neglects medical conditions in his follow up visits from his “warranty surgeries”. Don’t challenge him on your pets care; even if they are reacting to medication, he won’t hear of it, has to be listed in his rule book, he will state you are the problem. Dr. S will increase your pets anxiety on every visit, especially after surgeries, he will tell you that your are over-reacting. Your pet is better of elsewhere so you don’t have to deal with an emotionally scared pet for life; ours is. Dr S. will charm you on first visit that he is the “God of vets” & will fix your pet, months later his true colors/arrogance will show when your pet is not healing according to his rule book. Watch out for Sarah-Vet tech if she doesn’t like you/pet she will blacklist you.

Staff is friendly, courteous and understanding. The hospital is absolutely gorgeous, well stocked and equipped and very clean. Occasionally running a little late, but i'm okay with that as my visits are always long and informative. They don't rush you out when you have questions. I've worked with all 3 vets for my dog and cat, and they all take the time to be thorough and make sure I know what's happening. Yes, a little more expensive, but you get what you pay for, and I believe they are the best. I constantly Recommend the Ellwood Team for their knowledge, friendliness, and willingness to work with you on a budget and finding the answers!

Dr. Ray and his team consistently provide exceptional care and concern for animals and people (the latter must be tough), communication (and a range of options for treatment)and follow-through. His support staff and two vet colleagues, Drs. Engle and Bruce, are always cheerful, attentive and willing to help no matter what the issue. We are lucky to have such a professional vet team in the Valley. I only wish that there were more categories in this rating format and an "outstanding" column. I travel quite a distance to their clinic and have followed Dr. Ray for many years. He has given several of my dogs a new lease on life and I will be forever grateful. This is an individual who goes above and beyond....

I've used this clinic for several years for our two cats. They have been knowledgeable and caring at all times. The sole drawback has been keeping appointment times. On the other hand they are always willing to spend the time necessary so that I understand the problem, the recommended solution, other possibilities, and the prognosis.

I would not recommend this clinic. I booked an appointment and showed up a few minutes early. After filling out the paperwork for my pet I waited and waited and waited. After 40 minutes of waiting I had still not seen the vet. No one came to tell me that the vet was running behind or to apologize or anything. At that point I walked out and won't be going back.

This is the best vet I have ever ever been too! Love them so much! They have saved my dog's life twice!!! I would recommend him to every one who cares about their pet! Love them!!!

Awesome staff and veternarians! They know what is wrong when other vets don't. They are awesome! Helped my dog when he was really on the verge of dying - other vet had basically given up. Thanks Dr. Ray!

Dr. Ray saved my dogs life! After going to a very bad vet in Mission (the one at Lougheed Animal Hospital - nice man but needs a lot more training) and paying thousands in fees, we were directed to Ellwood Park Animal Hospital where Dr. Ray looked at my dog and diagnosed the problem in 30 seconds! Amazing! Best vet I have ever every been too! Take my advice - it may cost a little more but it is well worth the money and peace of mind to know that my dog is safe and pain free! I will never go anywhere else.

We had Dr. Engle examine our pet and although we found her very personable, it felt that she was trying to impress us with her veterinary knowledge. I found it difficult to follow the medical terminology that she used to explain our dogs condition. The follow up calls came the very next day and although they were appreciated, I had the distinct impression that they were pushing for additional tests to be done. Perhaps they need the extra cash to pay for the new offices. They are close to where we live, but I think we will be looking for another vet.

dr ray treated my dog for almost 17 years she was always very excited to see him , you can clearly tell him and his staff are there for the animals and not the money the facilties are spotless and the staff are all animal lovers i would highly recomend them to any one looking for the best care for their pets

The vets and techs at Ellwood are great. They really care about the animals they treat. They listen to what you have to say and keep you well informed as to what they are doing. You get what you pay for here and they're worth every nickel.

Very Pricey but completely worth it. All of the staff were AMAZINGLY kind to my cat and related well with her temperment :) they had personal stories of the same problems she is going threw and offered us more help then we could ever dream possible. Not to mention my cats special dietary food they sold us is refundable if MY cat is to finicky to eat it :D

Dr. Ray is an amazing doctor. Upon meeting him you'll know he's in it for the pet and not for the money. The staff are very educated and great to meet, and the facilities are top quality. I would highly recommend this Dr. to anyone who wants the best for their pet.

Dr Ray and all his staff are so pleasant to meet. He makes sure you are involved with your pet's health decision making, and always makes your options clear. You very seldom have to wait past your appointment time and if you do, it is because he has spent lots of time with an owner explaining the health issues they are dealing with. They schedule plenty of time with each patient, and occasionally you get in ahead of time. They are always trying to stay up to date with new technology that can assist with speed of diagnosis. Very highly recommended.
