Dr. Ed saved our dogs life. Our family brought our dog in devastated, thinking it was going to be the last time we saw her. He did emergency surgery on her and kept us informed. Two weeks later, our 12 year old Shepherd is acting like a puppy again. He is kind and truly loves animals. He is truly dedicated to his work and is willing to help animals at all hours. I read some of the negative comments but this man is a wonderful doctor who really goes out of his way to help.

Dr. Edin Mehanovic is a "bottom of the barrel" vet. After a horrible experience there I came home and Googled his name and found others who had unpleasant interactions with him. I also found that the Illinois Department of Professional and Financial Regulations has disciplinary actions against him. Just Google his name and you will see.

Been with Dr. Edin Mehanovic and his staff for over 15 years now. I have nothing but the highest regard for this man. He has taken care of me and many others in the middle of the night, meeting half way and even taken calls at odd hours for emergencies. He is commended for his countless hours and work with McHenry Animal Shelters. He is opening a new clinic just to spray and neuter animals in McHenry County so he can be of even more help to our community. He is kind, caring and compassionate and it breaks my heart to read the negative comments above. He was voted as Grand Marshall for the community parade for all his efforts and has been voted for the past 4 years as One of the Best Vet clinics in Best of the Fox. His clinic is filled with thank you notes and photos of pets he has helped. A picture says a thousand words. Here is one to prove what I have written is true. God bless you Dr. M and all your staff. You are worth your weight in gold!

ABSOLUTELY LOVE DR. ED. HE AND HIS STAFF HAVE ALWAYS BEEN VERY HELPFUL TO US AND OUR PETS, EVEN AT SOME VERY DIFFICULT TIMES.WE ALWAYS HIGHLY RECOMMEND FRIENDS AND FAMILY TO SEE DR. ED (THIS IS NOT HIS LAST NAME,BUT HIS FIRST)HE EVEN CAME TO OUR HOME WHEN WE HAD TO PUT OUR BELOVED BOXER TO SLEEP. VERY COMPASSIONATE!!!

Worked at a pet rescue for a number of years. We sent animals to get spayed/neutered. Had a few come back with a testical, when we called they said it was "just swelling" had to send them to get neutered again! Insitions on cats were sometimes stiched pretty bad and looked more like a big not rather than stitches. Stopped using them and went to another clinic.

This is the best vet I have found! They are caring, dedicated, extremely knowledgable, and affordable. They are compassionate and understanding, and truly love animals. They always do an excellent job with my pets, and I refer all of my friends and family to them. They also work closely with local animal rescues, which says a lot in my opinion.
