After dealing with the long term terminal illness of my dog, I will only schedule appointments with Dr. Amy Hopper at this facility. The other vets advocated all sorts of unnecessary treatment while Dr. Hopper dealt with my dog as an individaul animal who didn't need lots of costly procedures to tell us what we already knew. I also think the the receptionists and techs work very hard to help the patients and their owners.

Misdiagnosed my dog and prescribed the wrong medication. Beware and do not go here. They only care about money and not the health or well being of your pet.

The Staff really love pets, and you can see it in how they care for them.Reception is excellant at putting owners at ease and the techs are great at doing the same for pets. The doctors speak to me in terms I can understand. I really feel like we are partners in my littel guys care.

I have been here 3 times. All 3 times, we've waited anywhere from 45 minutes to 1 1/2 hours past our scheduled appointment times. They accidentally cancelled our 2nd appointment, so when we arrived they told me I didn't have an appt even though it was clearly scheduled for that day on my appt. card. During our 1 hour+ wait the last visit we watched as the front desk tried to give the WRONG ANIMALS back to the girl who worked at PetSmart. She dropped off a few mice it seemed and they were trying to give her back one mouse and it wasn't even one of the ones she left there. My dog's rabies certificate had a typo stating that it didn't expire for 10 years, instead of the 1 year, etc. Very disorganized and a very long wait for mediocre service. Don't bother.

If you have a small breed dog please don't take your pet here! I brought my shih tzu puppy in for her next distemper vaccine and they tried to give her every vaccine under the sun, some that are not even recommended by the AAHA. They don't provide individualized care, they see all puppies as the same and were disrespectful when discussing my apprehension in giving my 4 pound puppy 6 vaccines at once! They only want your money- please go somewhere else!

Love them! The vets are all great, the office is well stocked and clean and all of the receptionists and vet techs are marvelous! Price is always good, you won't get ripped off!

Have a lot of expertise, put the owner at ease...really feel like best interest of the animals is their primary concern.

I've brought chinchillas and guinea pigs to Atwood and have been very impressed. Atwood has vets that are knowledgable about many different types of animals (have seen cats, dogs, birds, reptiles, rodents, even a prarie dog in the waiting room). Their vets are very kind, no-nonesense vets who really care about the animals they see. I actually drive from Boston to take my pets here because they are so much better than anyone else!
