Dr Waterhouse is an exceptional vet with excellent diagnostic skills equally matched with her compassion and warm heartedness. We have been going to see Dr Amy for several years now with two generations of our cherished labradors. Dr Amy has been fantastic in all their car: comprehensive and caring from nose to tail to paws!

Dr Waterhouse two of my cats for annual check-ups. She seemed nice enough when she was chatting to me, but was not thorough when taking my cats' history or examining them. She misunderstood what I told her several times. And her physical examination seemed rushed. I couldn't trust her judgement: how can she make clear and precise clinical decisions when she can't acquire the correct history or do a thorough examination? She also quoted me for dental cleaning and it was almost twice the amount that I was quoted by another vet when I got second opinion. I am still looking for a good cat vet in Calgary.

We had elderly poodle who had a variety of problems. Dr. Ondrich always took the time to explain the logic behind her diagnoses and we always felt satisfied that she was right. Many times she went out of her way to reduce the costs for us and she could always make a compelling case for test, medications, surgeries, etc. that she thought were critical to his quality of life. Then , our dog was diagnosed with Lymphoma and when she phoned us with the news that he was dying, she spent more than an hour on the line after clinic hours during which time, she endured our sobbing and our psychologically going through at least 4 of the 7 Kubler-Ross stages of dying. It must have been gruesome for her, but she never showed it. For that and for the fact that she doubled her efforts to help keep the costs down for what turned out to be a very expensive course of treatment, she has earned my undying gratitude and loyalty.

We have had wonderful experience with this clinic. Our puppy had some health problems early on. The staff responded quickly and with amazing compassion. They kept in touch with us by phone to monitor his health (even over a weekend!). We were referred appropriately to other resources as well. Once our puppy was well again, we talked about neutering. We were all concerned that the previous health problem might come up again. But with careful consideration, we made a decision to proceed. All went well and he received excellent attention again! We highly recommend this clinic. The staff are friendly, kind and caring.

Took my dog here to address her arthritis, and waited over 45 minutes after my appointment time, which is not at all reasonable. The medications that we decided on were extremely expensive through the vet so we decided to look online, where we found much more reasonably priced meds, only to find that the vet refused to prescribe anything longer than a couple months unless we use them for my dog's annual exam despite having gotten the original prescription in November (but no refills, so useless) and having paid for a very expensive exam and blood tests. The vet also said she would follow up with a phone call to check how the meds were affecting our dog, which she NEVER did, indicating that she clearly does not care about us after we've given our money. Overall, this vet is TERRIBLE, clearly doesn't care about the pets, but is only out to make money.

Everyone here is very pleasant, but somewhat disorganised. If you need something, you have to sometimes call several times. The services seem expensive to what our friends pay, and the knowledge is sometimes lacking or vague. A good effort, but not good enough.

We saw Dr. Waterhouse and she was very good with our cats. They were comfortable with her and she calmed them down. We were disappointed with a few things though. She was checking our cat's ears and looked at the same ear twice (forgot to look at the other one). She made mistakes putting information into their files, confusing information about one cat with the other. She also had little regard for costs of treatment, opening a bottle of topical ointment and giving it to us without explaining that it cost $40. Overall, too expensive for what we got. Will be trying a different vet clinic.

THe vets are very nice and good at what they do. but i have a had time get a quote for a neuter and to pull some retained puppy teeth. once i did it seemed unreasonable to pay $50/per tooth. i ended up saving myself $300+ by calling around and getting other quotes ($20/tooth).

I will never go anywhere else! Dr. Ondrich took the time to explain everything to us and made sure all of our questions were answered in full. It is very easy to tell that she loves her job and takes pride in helping all pets live long, happy lives.

Dr. Waterhouse is the kindest vet I have ever dealt with. She and the staff care for the humans as much as the animals.
