pricey, but worth it! Staff, and vets, are great! I live across the city, but prefer to drive to Westboro, rather than find a vet closer to me. I have the best vet in the city!

Very aggressive in pushing expensive services and procedures that are not necessary. I guess they have to pay for that new addition somehow. A very disappointing experience - I will not return.

Great, friendly vets. Have been taking our Golden here for 4 years, mainly for shots and the occasional illness. Each time we have been treated well. You can get cheaper in Ottawa bit they're not a rip-off.

I have been to this clinic and others in Ottawa. I now only go to westboro animal hospital. I have never been pushed into treatment options that were more costly, I have always been explained the issue and the various routes to manage said issue. They call to see how the pet is doing and on one occasion took may calls and assessed a a video of my Dog's erratic behaviour with charging me anything. Sometimes there is a wait, but that is because they don't rush you when it is your turn. When I have been late they have managed to get me in as soon as possible. They listen, talk, examine and explain. Sometimes that takes time. The staff as a whole and Ian Cameron especially are caring animal lovers with soft hearts and a genuine interest in their clients and their client's families. I have been going to this vet for 12 years: 3 surgeries, and chronic health concerns in my dog and my cat- never disappointed. Best clinic in Ottawa.

I show up 10 minutes late today for an appointment for my dog and they told me they would not be able to see him. The appointment was for bloodwork only. I didn't even think I needed to see a vet. Sorry, but my money can be spent somewhere that cares about life and the unexpected delays that go with it.

I brought my dog Amber in there with a cough and Dr Cameron prescribed her the appropriate medications ...she needs other expensive surgerys for another on going matter..and Dr Cameron recommended Farley foundation to help me with the cost (as I'm on O.D.S.P.) He also did up an estimate and cut costs in various areas pertaining to the surgery...(which is still to come) He was anything but money oriented and gave me a discount my 1st and only visit thus far...He and his staff seem kind professional and genuine....After the rest takes place ie:The surgery...I will post more...I do recomend this vet...

Very much money-driven clinic/care. Have had conflicting diagnoses from vets there--one overprescribed Reactin for my small dog and almost did him in. Same vet diagnosed dog as having gum disease and needing $400-$500 dental cleaning (dog had some plaque build-up which another vet at another clinic said was not abnormal for that size dog and required only regular home cleaning to control). Clinic seems to not understand that animals are generally unable to give advance notice of needing medical care (1-2 days, and between the hours of 9 and 5) -- they are simply not equipped/interested in providing care when and as needed and when they do accommodate you, you'd better be prepared to pay "through the nose" (i.e., nearly $700 to diagnose and treat a gastro-intestinal bacteria issue). Have changed clinics now and do not recommend this clinic to others.

Dr. Ian Cameron is an amazing doctor, loving towards animals and sympathetic towards owners in need. Our poor dog had very bad hip dysplasia and Dr. Cameron helped us through the surgeries and took a personal interest in both our dog and us. I would recommend this clinic to all pet owners in Ottawa. They have several great doctors whom I've all met during various check-ups and visits. You're in good hands here.

In my opinion, Dr. Cameron Sr. had the clinic running the best. Best doctor too. I felt my dog was cared for in the most sincere manner with him. I am now researching other qualified vets in Ottawa for my pet as his son has left me with a very disagreeable taste in my mouth. Unlike his father, he is money motivated, unprofessional and immature and has a staff to match.

Overall sense that this is not value for money service. Vet spent little time with my cat and charges were high. Waiting room etc cramped, making it hard for cat when dogs are right next to them. Won't be going back.

This is the worst clinic I've ever been to in Ottawa. Ian Cameron and his staff are disorganized and prioritizes making money over the health of my pet. I had 2 awful experiences with this clinic. Not recommended.

There is nowhere else I would take my dog. Most loving and caring staff ever. The negative reviews are impossible, I agree with the others that it is the competiition that is writing in the negatives.

The vet at this clinic has always given me honest and fair advice regarding my dog. I feel he genuinely cares for my pets well being. As for prices they are either on par or lower then other places I have been to. You get what you pay for, and I believe you are paying for your pet to be in good hands. Would recommend to friends.

It's typical that people who are dissatisfied are overrepresented on rating site, since happy customers can't be bothered. We have been going to this vet for over twenty years with various pets and the service is always courteous and professional. While they have been punctual I can't say that this is the most important criteria. If you look at doctors or hospitals in Canada you will know what I mean. The most important is, my cats have always been treated well and have been healthier for the visit.

Terrible service, a complete lack of compassion and as another reviewer stated, a profit-driven clinic (what else would one expect from a private business). Waited over 15min while they looked at the cat before coming to tell us we owed 50% of 2,000 up front or they wouldn't start treatmet. Drove all the way to Carp veterinary clinic instead, based on a friend's recommendation and had our cat's UTI treatment begin immediately without the ridiculous bill.

We brought in our cat for booster shots, deworming and spaying, on many different occasions. The staff were friendly, the facilities are small, but clean and tidy. The wait times are acceptable and the staff is often ahead of schedule. Their prices fall within normal vet prices in the area, and we were not pushed to purchase any pet insurance.

Brought in our cat based on a friends recommendation with some trepidation due to previous comments but were very presently surprised by quality and value of service. Our cat had a limp and the vet prescribed some shots and special diet over a 4 week period. He said it was a cheaper alternative to surgery, which, of course, it was

Practice is run as a business. My suspicions were confirmed when I changed vets and was told that unecc. boosters were given. The profit motive is at work at this clinic. I was also given the "sales pitch" for pet healthcare that exceeds the healthcare covered by our own health insurance. This is the sort of vet to avoid

I have searched vets high and low and have worked with many. Not one has impressed me more than this family business. Reasonable prices and excellent care and insight.
