Click to report rating    4/24/12   2     4     1     1   I brought my 13-year-old male Yorkie in because he wasn't able to urinate due to the kidney stone blockage.(I was told later that he is not even supposed to do surgeries like that.) Dr Pasternak has done terrible surgery causing us rushed him into VCA emergency hospital a few days after the surgery because his entire body started to bruised and he couldn't eat, drink, get up or even opened his eyes. Before we rushed him into VCA, we went to see Dr Pasternak one day after the surgery and showed him the pus on surgical site, his red/purplish colored lower stomach. He said "Ohh Geeeez" and stared at the site, took my baby to the back and covered the site with some powder and told us to buy the same powder. Guess what it was. Damn foot powder!! Great doctors at VCA told us that urine was leaking UNDER his skin due to the surgery Dr Pasternak has done and that infected him...He was in critical condition for a few days and had to say at the hospital for over a week, cost me over $12,000. Click to report rating    2/22/11   5     5     5     5   He has broad knowledge since his treatment approach is both western eastern medicines. He is honest and serious about what he does. I am happy to find him and my dog is better right after the treatment. I was sent home with anti biotic western medicine along with 100persent natural herbs for intestine inflammation. I left there feeling good. The charge was not overpriced. Highly recommended. RID: 23062
Click to report rating    12/9/09   5     5     5     5   Dr. P is not Dr. Doolittle but he is a very knowledgeable vet who's bend is holistic medicine. I think people don't get him since he is not sticky sweet and fake. Dr. P helped me thru a terrible time when my dog was dying with terminal cancer. He was caring and helpful. He also does not overprescribe western meds which can deplete the system and make a illness or condition worse. He was honest with me the entire time and I know he helped my dog have a good quality of life in the end. I recommend him highly. RID: 15704
Click to report rating    6/30/08   1     4     3     1   Pasternak is very unfriendly and after 4 years of going to him he still doesn't recognize me or my dog. He glances her over, prescribes pills and tons of expensive herbs, and then sends her off. She never gets better! My new vet found a fungal infection that Pasternak never found- so my dog has suffered for years because of his negligence. He is in this business for the money and his "herbal remedies" are BS. His services are very expensive and he doesn't care about your dog's health. Go to someone else! RID: 9103
