Been here a few times and always happy with Dr. Moaveni and the staff. So far I have had a great experience with not feeling pressured to over-medicate or over-react to anything. Admittedly I have a very healthy cat so I don't know what things are like when a pet gets sick or hurt.

As a new client with my kitty "Dusty" Chin, very impressed with everyone's professionalism, consideration of my financial situation, empathy of my senior kitty's condition, amazing pre-dental care, dental procedure, post-dental care, and all the re-checks scheduled after...Also, the staff emailed her medical records promptly upon request. I have recently attended this vet hospital numerous times for my cat's terminal illness. Dr. Moaveni was incredibly helpful and supportive. He provides all the possible treatment options and was respectful of the owner's wants and budget. He does NOT believe in 'creative treatment planning' and I got a sense that he is a TRUE animal lover. I give this Clinic and Dr. Moaveni my HIGHEST recommendation!!!

Caring a responsible team . Helped a lots to find what is wrong with my cat. Dr well umderstood i have limited budget and did what was really necessary. I would recommend this place.

Doctors are rude not not punctual, was told to wait for my appointment while I could see the doctor outside in the parking lot on his cell phone! Could hear his cell phone ringing in the hallway the entire time he was in for the appointment. Would not recommend, did not seem interested in anything other then making money.

Dr. Moaveni is someone you would call a miracle life saver. I was traumatized getting ready to put down my new puppy chihuahua because of another terrible vet's malpractice. I was lost and my mom happened to tell me to not give up and try Burnaby New West Hospital. Dr. Moaveni's professional, gentle care, and love towards my dog was incredible and within hours we had a diagnosis and he literally saved my dog's life. I cried tears of joy. He is incredible and thanks to him our little guy is happy and healthy as can be! Thank you to everyone at Burnaby New West Hospital!

i visited vancouver from Los Angeles few weeks ago when my dog stepped on sharp object in park. Paw was very sore and bleeding badly. i got to this hospital at the very end of their shift when doctor was leaving and sitting in his car. He returned to hospital, redressed and quickly examed my dog, sedated and repaired the wound very fast, i was shocked when they called and asked me to come for pick up. very nice, fast and reasonable price. Thanks to Dr. Saman and all his staff.

Very good veterinary service. Very clean and descent facility . Staff are nice and kind. No waiting time and we got immidiate exam when our dog was sick . They did not let us wait long when they saw our dog is sick. Thnx

I have 2 times exprience visiting this practice. Hospital looked very nice and clean . Staff were very caring and supported my cat and myself in best possible way. Dr. Moaveni was very caring and detail in his exam and very petient to amswer all my question . The day after my visit he called and reported test results and again answered all my questions . Excellent follow up surprised me and was great. Thnkx for all your help burnaby new west hospital. Raha

The staff is nice, but they're only out for your money and will try to bully you into un-needed tests and whatnot. My dog hurt her paw and when I called to ask for a quote on an exam they told me she would need an exam, multiple x-rays, bloodwork, sedation for the x-rays and would need to be kept for observation for 2 days and quoted me $600 minimum. I took her to another vet who examined her, said an xray wasn't necessary, prescribed an anti-inflammitory and said she'd be fine in a week, which she was... it only cost me $70. Save your money and go somewhere else, they charge double on any service you can get at any other vet's office. Nothing more than a money grab and it's shamefull.

He demonstrated the utmost compassion and professional expertise while caring for Simon. Dr. Moaveni is one of the best Veterinarians in BC and he is well known to many pet lovers. I have been taking my dog to this hospital for all his life, they use to have several different doctors and whenever I came in I would have to re-explain my dog's medical history as every time my dog was seen by a different doctor. There has since been some major changes to this hospital and now they pretty much only have the one doctor (Dr.Moaveni) which is great!! I no longer have to re-explain my dog's issues as Dr.Moaveni has gotten to know both me and my dog. The quality of care at this hospital has always been excellent but I now really enjoy knowing that the doctor is completely familiar with my dog's history thus being able to provide much better care. My dog has had to have a few different surgeries and procedures in the past and the staff at burnaby new west have always been extremely helpful and kind in those stressful situations. You may pay a little extra at this vet but you definitely get what you pay for!!

The front desk / vet tech staff are really sweet and friendly. The vets seem knowledgeable and they love animals. My problem with this clinic though is that they require you to make a full exam appointment for basically everything. We've gone through several bouts of parasites and each and every time we need the dog's stool tested, they want us to make a full $58 appointment to bring the dog in! The dog has no other symptoms except diarrhea and has a history of parasite reinfection.. you don't need to examine my dog and take my money. They won't even give you a stool collection kit unless you make the full exam appointment, where as almost every other vet will just give you the collection kit and allow you to pay only for the test. For this reason, I rate them low, because it seems like a money grab.

Dr. Moevani and the staff at Bby New West recently helped a rescue cat that was wrongly diagnosed by another vet. This poor cat suffered needlessly because the other vet said she was "fine". I would highly recommend this animal hospital. The cat did pass away, but only because she was wrongly diagnosed.

With renovations going on there is a lot of dust and the parking lot is even more cramped. I don't think I would trust that the surgery area could be kept sterile with the work going on. Staff are apologetic but the new owner is clearly making the clients pay for the costs of the changes, their Advantage prices are double what I pay at another vet in Burnaby. Used to be a great place to take my animals, I'm moving elsewhere now.

Just had my 15 yr old cat here after going to the same vet in North Van since he was a kitten. I was very impressed with the vet and all the support staff. They all were friendly and seemed very caring, knowledgeable and thorough. I would definitely recommend them.

Staff and service are horrible. I had an appointment for dental work for my cat and when I showed up first thing in the morning they acted like they had no idea why I was there. In addition, they did not provide me with a quote for dental work, as promised and refused to fax my information to my new vet when I switched vets because I was fed up with their poor service. Very unprofessional overall and prices are less than reasonable for service performed.

I took my kitty here when he got really sick last year. He was diagnosed with diabetes, and the care was really great. The vet assistants were really good with him and spoiled him rotten while he was there. The only gripe I have is with my bills. I had to take him in twice a month for roughly 8 months and every single time I was overcharged or double charged, etc. You definitely have to keep your eye on your bill and review it before you pay.

I was really upset with this place. They convinced me to have my dog seen for something she didn't need to be seen for, said they could do it for free, then turned around a few minutes later and said that they would have to actually charge for a full exam as she was not a regular there. (She literally had a full routine check up at another vet the day before). We ended up paying for a full exam, and an unexplained 30.00 stool test as well, which was not needed at all, as we went in to get something to stop her nail from bleeding as we had just cut it while doing her nails. This place used to be great, but it's under new ownership now and things have obviously changed.

This vet hospital is heads above others that I've been to for my puppies and dogs. The receptionists are all high energy and appear to be so caring about all the pets that come in. The 3 vets that I've seen there are also very caring about the animal, and also the human! They don't mind getting on the floor to care for our pets, and understand the stress on both. They are definitely a bit more expensive than a cheapo vet place, but the level of care makes you confident that your pet is getting the best. I've been there quite a few times, and have always been satisfied with the care I received before, during, and after treatment.
