Our somewhat ailing cat went in on Friday and was dead by early Monday at a cost of $6000,Our cat was overmedicalized and had to be euthanized. Too many vet handoffs and not enough focus by one or two vets. RID: 59409

12/5/11   5     5     5     4   I had a surgery consultation w. Dr. Saylor and was very pleased with his expertise and advice. He did not try to push me into surgery, but rather, laid out the options for my 21-year old cat who has a mass in her mouth and is likely to have incurable squaemal cell carcinoma. He spent a good amount of time w. me and my cat. He used examined the x-rays my regular vet had taken and did not require addtiional x-ras. He even returned a post-visit phone call I made to him with additional follow-up questions--at no additional charge. I paid about $155 for the consult and was extremely satisfied. I have not yet decided whether to pursue surgery, which would be pallliative, not curative. RID: 29584

Click to report rating    4/27/09   2     3     2     1   When we were there, the "specialist" that we saw was covering the ER. Thanks to what was missed, our pet died shortly thereafter. Of course, we still paid $1800 for testing, almost no time with a doctor, and irrelevant and off-mark suggestions. We should have known to leave when another client complained about the bad care and the doctor "offered" to have both she and her dog removed (said she was being dangerously hostile, which she was not) with NO TREATMENT!! AVOID!! RID: 12584
