Click to report rating    9/17/18   5     5     5     5   Nicest Staff and Doctor! Doctor Jennifer Smallwood really knows her stuff. She is very knowledgeable, caring and she has lots of patience. You can tell she really loves animals. Prince of Wales Animal Hospital was very clean and I didn't have to wait to be seen. I was seen at the time I was given. They are punctual, friendly, professional and reasonably priced. I highly recommend this place and for that reason, I am rating The Prince of Wales Animal Hospital and Staff and my experience there, a 10/10 and an A+! RID: 66796

6/23/17   1     1     1     1   Posting a rating here as the same Vets work at Algonquin Animal Hospital. We visited the Algonquin office just over a year ago and a Dr. Marcuzzi mis-diagnose our dog and 48 hours later he died. Of course if you ask this quack he lies about our entire conversation and as there is no "independent third party" he get away with it... when do you ever bring a 3rd party to a vet clinic. Beware this person. The collage who gave him a degree would give him a refund and take their paper back. RID: 64006
Click to report rating    1/27/17   5     5     5     5   They have looked after my cat for years and she is living a long happy life because of it. I completely trust and put my animals faith in them to make the right choice for my cat. My daughter took her cat for one visit to have her cat euthanized and they were completely compassionate at her time of need and the cats. I believe in this clinic. RID: 62483

Click to report rating    4/6/15   2     3     3     1   I left Algonquin Animal Hospital because I was constantly pressured to pay for unnecessary tests. I went to Prince of Wales to find the same pressures. Shame on you Dr. Eric Marcuzzi. Every visit was a pressure tactic to take tests, buy cat food (Royal Canin cat food in a vet hospital is NOT better than store bought Royal Canin cat food), and make unnecessary follow up appointments. Completely disappointed in this vet. RID: 56540
Click to report rating    9/7/14   5     5     5     5   The staff are knowledgable as well as caring. I could not have asked for better companionship for my pet while they were there. Thank you so much! RID: 53432
Click to report rating    8/19/14   5     5     5     5   I have taken my cats and dog here for many years. The staff are courteous, caring, and professional.Over the years the Vet staff have done minor and major surgeries for my pets, and I feel I received optimum care. I recommend this clinic. RID: 53139
11/6/12   2     2     4     2   I feel like the staff ignore me when I'm trying to tell them about my animals. I also over heard one of the staff say "puppy mill" when they were going over my pet's records. I would never own a dog from a puppy mill and was very insulted my this comment - especially because my breeder is known throughout the province and is CKC registered. I will be looking for a new vet. RID: 38312

Click to report rating    10/7/08   1     1     1     1   I took my cat to this clinic to check what was wrong with his paw because he was limping and in pain. The vet took my cat into the surgery room and took the claw out without any pain killers or numbing. I was standing outside the room and heard him screaming from the pain. She then broght him out, gave me the claw, and told me that he "possibly has an infection, but can't tell from the blood"(his entire leg was completely covered in blood). The vet did not know anything and did not explain anything, the only person that talked to me was the receptionist-and that was about the cost of what they just did. The vet suggesed surgery, which in total would have cost $600, all this clinic cares about is the money that they make, they don't care about the animals or the owners and are VERY unprofessional. I ended up spending $400 (because they took a blood test as well), but I did not let them do the surgery. My cat was in a lot of pain and I will need to find another vet to fix the problem. Click to report rating    4/3/08   3     4     3     1   After checking with THREE other vets in the area it was evident that this hospital's "standard" shots and procedures are designed to maximize the cost of your visit. I will not do business with such a place and would not recommend this hosptial or it's affiliate, Algonquin Animal Hospital, owned by the same private owner. RID: 7910
