Click to report rating    4/10/24   1     2     1     1   WAVES killed my young, healthy dog and charged me $15,000 for it. I brought her in the early hours of the morning as she was having ineffective contractions. Veterinary textbooks state that a c-section should be sought if "weak contractions persist for 2+ hours or strong contractions persist for more than 30-60 minutes without producing a puppy." Envy met those qualifications. Dr. Brown is not competent enough to properly assess an emergency. Despite a radiograph showing a puppy stuck in the birth canal (another immediate qualification) she stated my dog was "not in distress" and that a c-section was not an emergency because "the puppies were likely dead anyway." She blatantly lied to me and stated surgery would be performed at *6:30 am* when Dr. Goodall was scheduled to arrive. If she had been honest with me, I would have brought my dog to Central. She would still be alive. The estimate for the c-section was $4500 - $6500. I received a call from Dr. Goodall at 11:15 the next RID: 71044
