I will not go back here. My dog hurt his leg, then had small amount of watery blood from his penis. my vet was busy so I went to Willowbrook. They charged me over $300 for a urinalysis (other vets charge approx. $89- $150) Then another $40 take the blood plus a visit charge. this was not an emergency. The results were a presence of infection, suspected bladder infection, (my suspicion) They then tried to get me to do a rectal exam, with him put under, to look for cancer. They tried to terrify me into it. They prescribed antibiotics ($60 additional)
After the course of antibiotics he was out playing started lifting his leg again and the watery blood came back. Note the blood was not present when peeing.
Turns out it was not likely a bladder infection (I cannot prove this ) but it was a groin pull, Which can produce small amounts of blood and a raised white blood count.
After 2 weeks swimming therapy in the ocean. no more blood and no more sore leg?
They charged me almost $600!

Dr Shamsher and all the kind people at Willoughby Animal Hospital gave my AussieDoodle, Charlie excellent service ever since he was an 8 week old puppy. From preventive and acute care to surgery and follow up, Dr Shamsher was professional, polite and respectful. He was gentle and compassionate when he examined and treated Charlie. He took time to answer all my questions until I could make an informed decision. From large problems to small ones, Dr Shamsher offered my dog the same thorough assessment, diagnosis and treatment that you would expect from a doctor for humans. As a result, my 8 year old dog is still, healthy, active and happy to come to the Animal Hospital. Thank you all.

All the staff at this clinic were incredible - friendly, caring, and skilled. I live on Vancouver Island and struggled to find a vet on the island that was either affordable or had availability to take on my pets. This clinic went above and beyond to help me coordinate an out of town visit for both my dog and cat on the same day. Thank you so much :)

I can't say enough great things about Dr. Shamsher and his veterinary staff team! They're so caring, friendly, and professional :) Dr. Shamsher is so considerate, and a careful listener to the details. He cares about both the patient and the owners. There's never any doubt about the help and services which are recommended. We're into year 10 with him now. Thank you so much Dr. Shamsher!

Great staff, great vet. I drive all the way from Mission with my dog. The staff is super friendly, the vet very competent, the facilities are spotless and there is always awesome things to buy to support a local animal rescue.

Just wanted to express my gratitude to Dr. Shamsher Ghatorha and his staff. I have followed Dr Shamsher from Surrey to his new clinic in Langley. Dash, my little senior dachshund, has special needs (back legs paralyzed) and I had exhausted my search for a place that would accept him for boarding. Also, many vets I have taken him to (and there have been many!) saw him as little more than a billing opportunity. Dr Shamsher has provided sensible medical care through the years, and Dash is comfortable and happy there. These guys are the greatest - thank you all so much!

We are so grateful to Dr. Ghatorha. He is very thorough and truly cares about animals. He was fantastic when our cat came in with urinary crystals and needed emergency surgery. He made sure our fur baby was as comfortable as possible during his stay at Willoughby Animal Hospital.

WORST vet in lower-mainland, “dr” shamsher does not care about your pet or any others, only cares about how much money is going to end up in his wallet. First, he misdiagnosed one of my dogs by saying his eye problem was just allergies after examining the eye TWICE on the same day making me take him to an animal hospital to find out he had an ulcer all along and needed treatment right away. Second, I take my puppy to him just so he can tell me that he’s probably not going to make it, so I go to pick him up so I can take him to a veterinarian that actually knows what they're doing and he tries charging me $780 for telling me my dogs going to die and having him there for barely even 30 minutes. Absolute joke. STAY AWAY
This animal hospital’s procedure to diagnose this virus was to return home 20-30 mins away and collect my puppy’s feces even though they thought he was so rapidly deteriorating and also did not have any in-house test kits on hand . It was clear my puppy was not doing we

Absolutely the best care you can receive for your furry companion. We have been coming here pretty much since the clinic opened. Our last dog lived a very long and healthy life courtesy of Dr. Shamsher. When it was time, they were very sensitive and gave us as much time as we needed with our old girl. Now, we have a new little furry love and he has received nothing but the best care since day 1. They are fantastic with the animals and truly love the pets. I can't imagine going anywhere else and getting the same honest, sensitive, caring, and wonderful treatment for our little guy. We trust them implicitly. Yes, they really are that good.

The staff at Willoughby Animal Hospital are all so caring and helpful. As first time dog owners Dr. Ghatorha has been incredibly patient answering all of our questions and put our minds at ease. They are always available to chat over the phone if you have any concerns and even encourage you to email in photos/videos of any issues so you can avoid spending money/time coming in to the clinic if it's not necessary. I would recommend Willoughby Animal Hospital to anyone!

Everyone at this clinic goes above and beyond from the moment you walk in the clinic to the follow up phone call. Dr Shamsher has done many hours of research on our dogs rare condition and has updated us if he has learned something new at a seminar. I cannot say enough good things. They have seen us at a moments notice and have shown us respect and compassion through our frustration and fear.

Dr.Shamsher Ghatora is such a nice genuine feeling person and so good with our animals (so far a kitten and two dogs) . He has much compassion and rates are decent. The counter staff/techs/assistants are always so helpful and friendly as well. I always recommend him to people when I hear they have a new pet and also to consider switching to this vet when I hear they are not 100% happy with their current pets' vet.

Dr. Shamsher and his team are awesome and so caring. I'm impressed with the high standard of pet care and "people" care. Willoughby Animal Hospital has been my rottiegirls clinic since he opened this place. Dr.Shamshir and the girls are just wonderful and treat me and my girl better than I can really afford. They will make every effort with you to make sure you can take excellent care of your fur baby. If I could give higher than 5 I would for everything I answered?thanks from the bottom of my heart!

I started using Dr. Shamsher's services when he was at High Point Animal Hospital on King George Blvd which was a convenient 5 minutes from my home. The care offered my cats couldn't be better and the rates charged are very reasonable. When Dr. Shamsher opened his beautiful new facility on 200th Street in Langley (a 15 min drive away now) it was a no brainer that I would continue to use his services.

Last night I called the Willoughby Animal hospital as my 15 year old cat had suddenly become very ill and was having seizures. Even though it was 11:30PM Dr. Shamser Ghatorha answered the phone. He said he would meet me within half an hour. Both him and his wife arrived within 20 min. They were so caring and kind. In all my years as a pet owner I have never experienced such compassion. It was quickly determined that my sweet baby was at the end of a much loved life. By this time it was well after midnight and he let me take as long as I wanted to cry and stroke my now passed angel. When I was finally able to pull myself away the doctors wife was there with my kitties blanket all folded up and a hug for me. I cant say enough about the kindness and compassion that I was shown. Even though this was not my usual vet, it didnt matter to him. If the day comes that this terrible pain subsides and I can welcome another kitty into our family I will have Doctor Ghatorha as our vet.

Checked this clinic out after reading the reviews on here and by far the best clinic I've been to in 10 years. The staff are wonderful, prices are reasonable and the location is neat and clean. Dr. Ghatorha is so gentle with the animals and has so much patience with my dog & kitten - the front staff always provide excellent customer service. I could tell they were great from the first call I made. Definitely worth the drive for me.

We recently moved from NS to Langley BC and I found Dr. Shamsher! I never met a vet before who did such a good exam and advise for vaccination and microchipping for my 2 Greyhounds. Dr. Shamsher and his stuff helped me more than I could expect as well with the overwhelming paperwork for my dogs for our departure to Germany. Also moneywise I'm positively surprised. Thank you to the Willoughby Animal Hospital. I only can highly recommend Dr. Shamsher.

Dr. Shamsher did my dogs ACL surgery and we couldn't be happier with the results. He is very precise on his treatment and follow up and she is now walking around without any limping or pain. Prices are extremely reasonable and we are happy to have found this clinic.

They charge at least DOUBLE anybody else. My sister just brought her dog home from what should have been a simple neutering, and there is major infection, bruising and one testicle is the size of the dogs head (This is a large dog folks!). Never go there and save your pets.

I also followed Dr Shamsher from his previous hospital to this one. He always takes his time and makes sure to talk to you about his findings and treatment plan. His prices are fair, and an amazing value for the treatment you receive. I also take rescue cats to him and he treats them with the same amount of care and compassion. Extremely caring vet with great bedside manner, highly recommended.

Just like everyone else has already said, Dr. Shamsher and his staff are the best!! I too followed him to his new location, and he was originally one of the recommendations I received from the SPCA. He listens well, makes good recommendations, and genuinely cares about both the pets and the owners. My dog recently had a difficult cut to her paw, and we couldn't have received better care anywhere.

I would give Dr. Shamsher a 10 if I could. We followed him from North Van to Surrey, and then to Lsngley, even tho we now live in Hope. He is a wonderful vet, and has very reasonable rates. I'm very fussy about who looks after my dogs, and I wouldn't 't go anywhere else.

I wish we could rate higher than Good on the rating system. Dr Shamsher was not quick to jump to conclusion on our cat's issue, he made Henri feel comfortable before giving him his check up. With 3 cats & 3 dogs in the house, we know Dr Shamsher will be thorough in every aspect including our pocketbook.

Simply the best, most affordable Vet in Langley! Dr. Shamsher (previously of High Point Animal Hospital) now has a beautiful new Animal Hospital offering top notch Veterinary care to our animals, and at very reasonable prices too! We make the trip all the way from South Surrey so he can care for our animals which is quite a distance but well worth the trip! We HIGHLY recommend Dr. Shamsher and his staff as being knowledgable and providing leading edge care in this beautiful new facility and wish he and his staff continued success! We have used Dr. Shamsher as our vet for years and won't go anywhere else! If you love your animals, this is the place to be!
