Dr Hendrik DeZeeuw retired in 2019 - the clinic has never been the same since. I had to leave there and go to another clinic, the level of common sense, caring and compassion disappeared with Dr D.

This place doesn't deserve one star. Staff is ignorant, irresponsible, unprofessional, they do whatever they choose and they are allowed to get away with it. Took my cat in to the vet - three days later she is absolutely traumatized. The cat I dropped off there no longer exists. I have no clue what they did to her while she was there. I was told to pick her up by "staff" no later than 5 p.m. I arrived at 4:45 p.m. and left at 7:45 p.m. When I told the vet what his staff was like he informed me that I "needed to get along with them." Whoever left a good review on this place is either receiving free services or is absolutely delusional. I wouldnt take a cockroach back to this place. Beware. Read not

So we took our poor Kita to the vet last Monday, she was 20 years old and clearly in distress she couldn't hold herself up she was vomiting badly here eyes were glossed over. When we took her in I explained she was suffering I wanted her to be put down. They then said it would be an additional $55 to be present while my baby who I have had for more than half my life was put down.In 40 years had a vet charge additional fees to be present while your animal is Euthanized, this seems very unethical and shows no compassion A very sad experience to loss someone you have loved for so long and even sadder experience with very little remorse from the clinic. at Delton vets they didn't charge us, they wrapped up our baby in a nice blanket with a toy and a box so we could bury him and never charged us a cent plus we spend an hour with him after he was put down which we were also present for. THAT IS HOW A PROPER CLINIC SHOULD HANDLE CLIENTS IN THIS VERY SENSITIVE SITUATION. SHAME ON YOU GUYS!

This review is not about the level of expertise of vets, it’s about the way that they do business here which is dishonest and they have very poor customer service. Let’s face it, veterinary clinics are purely business establishments and not the same as human healthcare establishments. At this clinic they do not explain the charges to you before hand for you to make a decision, and they try to get as much money out of you by taking advantage of the fact that you are likely there because your pet is not well and you are distraught. And they have so many policies and various REPETITIVE fees to address their policies, which you will only find out about after they charged you! And when you speak up and tell them that charges were not explained to me, they basically imply that you are lying because it is your word against their staff! Take my word and go to a vet clinic that runs the business side of things more ethically!

Poor judgement by Vet and staff. Took our cat there for nail trim 20 times. Today we went there again and the charge was 3 times the usual. Rational was cat was uncooperative and it took five people to hold her. they should have just told us to come back another time instead of putting much stress on the cat. Poor judgement.

Love this vet! They have a lovely front staff. Vets often seem way too rushed other than that they treat my animal like their own.

Brought my dog after hit by car. Vet said he wasn't sure if x-ray was cloudy due to bleeding in chest or if machine wasn't set right. Said the dog would be fine just leave overnight. Dog was in shock and given fluids with possible internal bleeding, breathing changed so he gave Lasix. He also gave dog dexamethasone(steroid). Was told to leave dog overnight, I asked if my dog was in pain, he said steroid is a painkiller. I asked if I could stay with dog and told it would cost me $1000 to stay overnight for staff to stay, this is what I thought was a 24 hour emergency clinic. Dog was put on a blanket and concrete floor in kennel when he was in shock and his temperature was dropping. Called the next morning and told me my dog was dead. Dog was still on blanket and there was a lot of bright red blood on blanket by mouth. Another vet told me that steroid is not a pain killer. worried my dog was in pain and choked on his blood. after all this, they asked me to pay $1100.
