After calling for quotes about our new kitten and booster shot fees, there were additional fees once we completed the exam. More importantly, the veterinarian said he didn't want to scare me into it, but he suggested deworming our resident five year old cat because one can easily pick up worms on their shoes just by walking into a vet clinic and we have two young daughters. After rescuing our new kitten who had been dewormed by the City of Calgary animal services, I inquired about worms again with this vet, feeling unsure about the risk of worms to our resident cat knowing that the new kitten was a stray. I felt very concerned about worms infecting my family and during the next visit, Dr. Bhuddihal said the chances of us picking it up on our shoes was "extremely low"! I was very surprised by this contradiction! I confirmed this later on with a credible website. I felt very manipulated and we have changed vets.
