First visit good, discovered a serious problem. Our dog had a terminal illness and they were compassionate and undersrptandin. Next few visits for emergency help good but one emerg visit left a bad taste, dog was in distress due to illness, we did not need a vet consult only a procedure. Procedure done but I was lectured that only this one time without a vet consult would they do this. My gut said money grab cuz no vet consult, only interested in that. Terrible for us and dog with terminal illness. With the diagnoses our dog received and the vet care at 3 different clinics, not a good experience, lack of understanding, and compassion, seemed the $ was the most important. We will see be shopping around for vets who r not interested in drugging dogs, pushing unnecessary, go for the gut, scare the owners shots. We will look for a vet interested in our pets lifestyle, living conditions. Seems the almighty $ rules higher than compassion.

I was refered by my family vet for further testing for my dog. Extreamly expencive, very little compassion. I dont believe they read the files, prescribed a medication he had already been that did not work? Just wanted to send him for more testing in Montreal. My companion passed away a few weeks after being scene. He had a treatable desease IBD No follow up calls, no real interest except to pay the bill.

I really want to Thank the Staff the day we brought our beloved Maverick in. Although your end was not happy, we had to say goodbye to him. They were truly amazing. The compassion and caring was nothing but 100%. We decided to have Maverick cremated and put in an urne to have at home. When we went to pick him up, was really surprised and touched with the beautiful and fitting tribute to our boy Maverick. Thank-you also for the beautiful card we recieved in the mail. We are very appreciative to have this hospital in the East end.

We took our beloved cat here this evening after she likely consumed some lilies, which are highly toxic to cats. The facility is clean and modern, with water, coffee, magazines and children's toys for human visitors. Dr. Megan Perron was fantastic. The staff went above and beyond, contacting a florist to help identify the mangled remnants of the plant our pet ate, and they determined it was not a deadly variety. Dr. Perron did not pressure us to pursue expensive unnecessary treatment. She was honest and friendly. This is not a cheap vet, but absolutely great care when a crisis comes up. My only complaint is that reception can be a bit slow.

Went to clinic for follow on care - IV fluids & antibiotics (vet closed Sat @ 2 pm). Dog hadn't eaten in 4 days, suspected kidney infection and kidney failure. Arrived, waited 2 hours to be admitted (all that time with no IV fluids, which was main reason for going there). Gave instructions: feed her frequently with food I provided, needed support due to hind end weakness, and needed to be let out to pee every hour. Vet confirmed my instructions. Called me 4 hrs later to say dog was OK but was shaking when checked on (sign of distress for her). I asked if they fed her: NO. I said try feeding her, which they did and said she wouldn't eat. I immediately left to visit. When I arrived (4.5 hrs after admission), they didn't support her hind end and she fell so I had to run to assist. Her back end was soaking with urine. Asked when she'd been let out? SHE HADN'T. I took her out to pee, cleaned her up and waited 2 hrs to speak to vet so I could take her home. Thanks a lot, $600 lesson.

My 12 year old Doberman suddenly started struggling to breathe in the middle of the night. I called and the lady on the phone was so comforting. I felt reassured and comfortable bringing my dog to somewhere unknown. I was taken right away to my own room where the vet met with me in a matter of minutes. She was able to diagnose that the dog was suffering from cardio myopathy and had fluid around the heart and pooling in the stomach. Based on her age, and having experienced this with former dogs, I knew that her time had come. They were able to euthanize right away to spare my dog further pain and suffering. They were kind and understanding. I sobbed uncontrollably and they comforted me and accommodated me in every way possible. They were very caring to both me and my pet in her final hours. I could not have asked for better help. It cost me $600 for the vet exam, the euthanasia and the cremation - but it was an emergency. I would definitely recommend this place.

They are emergency, therefore it will be more expensive. They provide great services, they are great people, they took great care of my cat today. They have not figured out the problem because k didnt have enough funds, but they did the best that they could, gave me a special food and an anti nauseant. Told me to come back, if necessary. They are wonderful ! :)
