Be very careful with this clinic, they appear nice but will bend you over. We were long time customers until the gouging got to be too much. We bought our dog food there got our dog`s teeth cleaned there at 2k each time and none of that matters. BE VERY CAREFUL DEALING WITH THESE CROOKS

Saw Dr.Lau for the first time today with our cat. Took his time, explained everything in detail, and unlike other vets, did not try to drive up the costs with blood tests, or xrays that were not needed. Like an old fashioned vet, he was able to give us a diagnosis, and a treatment just by careful examination. He is now my cats vet for as long as she needs him.

Back in 2014 I brought my puppy into see Dr. Lau as he had a stiff neck and fever. I brought him in 3 times in a week and was sent home with pain medications and told it was "growing pains" or a "strained neck". My dog appeared to be getting worse each day so I brought him to another vet for a 2nd opinion, was immediately sent to the Animal Emergency Clinic of the Fraser Valley. My dog was diagnosed with osteomyelitis and sepsis and receiving weeks of IV antibiotics to treat his very serious infection. He also had an abscess in his leg which ruptured at the clinic. Would have saved thousands of dollars if my dog had been treated appropriately from the start of his symptoms. A very traumatic and expensive experience.

I have been taking my dog to Dr.Lau for many years. He has been the best vet I have ever had, he has done so much for my little guy. Dr.Lau has never 'sold' me on anything that my dog didn't need, on the contrary actually, he will tell you when you really shouldn't do something and he doesn't overcharge. His prices are so reasonable that you aren't afraid to take your pet the Dr. I even had to take my dog to a vet closer to me when he became extremely ill. The vet did an ultrasound but found nothing, the next morning I had the results sent to Dr.Lau and he saw something in the intestine that the other Dr didn't. Long story short, some laxatives, a follow up and he was good to go. Without the laxatives he may never have passed the blockage that the other Dr didn't see. I have nothing but good things to say about Dr.Lau.

I would not bring my pets to Dr. Lau. I had a dog with severe diabetes. It should have been pretty straight forward with a blood test. But after x-rays, misdiagnosis, prescriptions,(that weren`t needed), and over $1400., it was actually a doctor who was covering for Dr. Lau, that diagnosed the problem. We went to a new vet and got things under control and she went on to live for 3 years.

We have been seeing Dr. Lau since we adopted our dog. He has been very knowledgeable and generous. I am an over-worrier and he always puts my mind at ease about any ailments about my dog. The staff is amazing, friendly, and kind.

Dr Lau has been the family vet for over 20 years so I had no reason not to trust him. We had our 5 month old puppy have a cherry eye surgery, that has traumatized him for life. He was not given any pain meds, I had to beg for them days after as my pup was in severe pain. For two weeks I complained that there was something wrong and he claimed it was normal, would not see him to look at his eye. I trusted my gut and took him to another vet, turns out the sutures had ruptured and were scratching his cornea all that time. He needed ER surgery to repair the damage that was performed by another vet. Due to my pups distress and slamming his face into walls and floors his other eye popped. Pup had double eye surgery, several times to repair the damage. 5 months later he is healed. He hates going to vets now, extreme nervous anxiety, hates the eye drops. He is not even a year old yet. THERE ARE NO GOOD VETS ANYMORE, Only want $$$$$

Dr. Lau was reffered by our groomer/breeder and has been our pet dog's vet ever since. He is excellent in updating you when our pet is due for shots. He also has several locations which makes it very convenient for people if different areas of Vancouver. I have been visiting his Richmond office. It is very clean and not distracting. He is always gentle with our pet and has never offered us anything that is not required or would affect the health of our pet. His pricing is very reasonable. I would highly recommend him to anyone needing a vet.

Dr. Lau is a fine vet and a fine person. His charges are fair and reasonable, his staff excellent and the facilities totally functional and centrally located. Appointments are on time without any feeling of being rushed.

Just recently had the pleasure of taking my rabbit to this wonderful vet. Dr. Lau treated both me and my pet with great respect. The front desk staff are also amazing and answered all of my questions. Had to go back the very next day after my rabbit had chewed out her stitches and he was amazing at putting us both at ease-Thank you Dr. Lau and your amazing staff!

I have taken our lhasa apso to dozens of vets in his four yrs of life. I have never been to one that treated him as if he was part of the family. This clinic cares about your pet , not how much money they can make from you. I have found my vet for life!! Great staff, and an awesome dr! Finally someone who cares about my dog as much as we do. Best vet ever!!! Saved my dog’s life (he’s a German Shepherd 11years old). All charges are upfront and honest. I paid probably half of what other vets was going to charge me. Dr. Lou is great, and the nurses there are also very nice. Anyway, words just cannot express how much I appreciate them.

Always friendly, super helpful. The owner Dr. Lau, was recommended to me by my previous vet, a Dr. Anthony from when I lived in Vancouver. He was the Vet always in the paper doing dental work on Bengal Tigers and Police dogs. Very respected so I trusted his opinion on this new clinic. I have not been disappointed.

If you want an excellent veterinarian, this is the one that you want to see. We have been going to Dr Lau for 15 yr. He has been excellent with each and every animal we've brought to see him. You can tell how much he loves them just by the way he treats and handles them. Dr Lau treated one of our dogs that came down with Crohns disease at a very young age. He did his absolute best to save her and was caring and compassionate when she passed away. A 2nd animal he treated was put down at the ripe old age of 15. She had multiple health problems when we adopted her @ 7 yrs. Despite going to many vets for advice & solutions, Dr Lau was the one that finally resolved her issues and gave her relief of chronic ear infections. We are now on our 3rd and 4th pets under Dr Lau's care & trust him to the enth degree. Our most recet adoption has started to deteriorate after 9 years. I am confident that Dr Lau will give us the best advice relating to her care & final options.

Dr. Lau is a fantastic vet. He listens and asks questions to clarify. He is compassionate, realistic and cost effective. My dog loves going to see him even though that's where he was neutered! His staff are professional and caring. I always feel confident and comfortable leaving my dog there to be treated. I have recommended him to other dog owners and they have always told me great things about him after their visit.

I have been going to Dr Lau since he first came to Richmond (I guess about 16 years ago). He was a very good vet. I have referred him to many friends (they also used to be his client). However, he is not very helpful, patient with clients now. He did not appear to want to spend time explaining things to us. Also, we have no way to ask if those medicine or treatment would be safe for my dog's health (he did not shown friendly and wanted to explain.) Don't know why his attitude changed a lot during these years. Sometimes he couldn't find out the problem of my dog.

I cannot possibly say enough good things about Dr Lau and the staff of All About Pet Clinic. I have known Dr Lau for many years and have taken all of my precious animals to him. He was been nothing but professional, extremely knowledgeable, considerate and caring to both myself and my pets. I would travel from one end of the country to the other to take my animals to Tony. He is one of a kind and I would recommend him highly if you are looking for a vet who not only knows his field inside and out but actually cares for the patients he is treating.

dr lau saved my little pug x tias life he was the best vet i have ever been to in my life absolutly magnifacent! and he knows that we were a young couple with no money, honestly the most honest and caring and trustful vet! would recomend him in a heart beat! and the front staff is wonderful my dogs actually get excited for the vet thats how could they all are!!

Dr. Lau's prices are much more reasonable than the many other vets I've tried. After my dog ate chocolate covered raisins on a Friday, he developed some worrying symptoms on the Sunday so I had to take him to an emergency clinic. $400 later, they said everything was fine, but recommended I have the bloodwork redone the next day just to make sure. Dr. Lau suggested that was unnecessary since it had already been 3 days since the ingestion, and there was no reason to expect the bloodwork to change if it had been fine the day before. So reasonable, fair, and knowledgeable. This is typical of my experience with this clinic.

Dr.Lau has taken care of our cat Sophie for almost 18 years now. He cares, and it is evident in the way he interacts with her. If your not sure who to trust with your best friend, go see Dr Lau. Nothing but praise for him.

Awesome vet. Always friendly, always caring, always smiling, very knowledgeable and honest (brutally honest). He offers advice and suggestions when needed but lets you (the owner) make the final decisions without pressuring you one way or another. I have yet to wait more than 5 minutes for either him or his staff. I'm more than happy to pay what he asks for which isn't much imo. He offers payments as well as far as I know. His staff is excellent, they make you feel welcome and help whenever and wherever they can. The clinic is small but sparkling clean. He spayed and neutered our two dogs, they were up and running like nothing happened the next day. He put down our oldtimer which he and his staff did in a quick and very respectful manner. Short: The man rocks!

I've been using Dr Lau for nearly 15 years and always refer people to him. He has helped many of my dogs out of some serious situations, prices are always fair and his service is excellent. I highly recommend Dr Lau. He is also well used by many of the lower mainland toy dog breeders.

i have had Dr Lau as my primary animal care vet for about 30 years... since I first met him while he was working on 8th Ave, off 216 St Dr Lau is extremely compitent and compassionate towards both the animal and the owner. There has been only one occasion when he did not feel able to handle my pet's medical condition and he quickly referred me to a specialist at this time The prices are moderate and the overall service is great! I have friends who traveled as far as from near Cashe Creek to use Dr Lau to treat their amimals

Dr Lau has been my cats' and dogs' veterinarian for many years and has always provided exceptional service.
