I wish our visit to this clinic hadn't been an emergency so I could've had time to read all of these AWFUL reviews! We brought our senior dog in after he had a seizure with the firm decision to let him go after a long and difficult deliberation about his quality of life and his and our safety. This was an incredibly difficult decision to make for us and we were distraught. Dr. Maricle spent 30 mins trying to talk us out of it, pushing a huge array of tests to "try", of which we painfully declined repeatedly. As many other reviews have mentioned he also threatened to report us for animal cruelty because our OLD dog had a few bad teeth. When he finally agreed to the euthanasia they took him to the back for 25 mins and blew both his veins, he came back all bandaged and struggled two more times to give him the meds. Every time the vet left the room he was gone at least 10-20 mins. This heartbreaking appointment was dragged out over 1 1/2 hours. Our bill was over $700.

Horrible experience. Took my cat and dog in. Cat for senior blood panel. Turned out the cat needed teeth out to my surprise! The vet threatened me that he would call SPCA if I didn't deal with it (um, excuse me, I am here am I not)They also would offer the most expensive treatments and only later would advise there were less expensive options. DO NOT take your animals here.

The staff was pleasant but the veterinary skills and knowledge seemed to be lacking. Would not recommend !!!!

Didn't seem very knowledgable. I've worked with animals my whole life and all I was given was info I'd already found on internet. Didn't seem very engaged or energetic. Vet tech seemed brighter, keener and more interested in my pet'a condition than the older, tired seeming vet who didn't even bother to introduce himself. Maybe he's ready to retire or I caught him on a bad day. Long wait and felt rushed out once it was my turn even with no one in the clinic behind me. A waste of $150 and I will look for a better clinic. Not impressed.

I only visited this clinic once. I had just adopted a cat from the SPCA. He would let his tail drag around behind him, so I thought I should visit the vet to see what was wrong. The vet immediately suggested that the tail should be amputated. I thought that was a bit drastic as it didn't seem to bother the cat. He wasn't in pain and there was no sign of injury. The vet strongly suggested that I have it removed because he figured the tail would be injured while dragging on the floor. I can accept that....but I thought I should wait a few weeks to see if it improved. Within 10 days he began carrying his tail like a normal cat and is completely fine now. Glad he still has his tail.

I'm an animal rescuer and we have been using Valleyview Vet Clinic for years. The staff are great, caring and concerned. The vets are wonderful. They are always on the forefront of new methods and techniques when it comes to treating the animals we bring to them. If we have an urgent case, they get us in the same day. I had nothing but positive experiences with them. Highly recommended.

I felt the vet was okay. He got to the bottom of my dog's condition. He also didn't mind taking the time to answer all of my questions at any time. The front desk staff however wasn't very pleasant, and for this reason I refuse to ever go back. They were quite unaccommodating, petty, and unhelpful. I also felt, that considering the severity of my dog's condition that a veterinary clinic might want to engage in some type of followup before they contacted me for a mere $20 charge, when I had spent hundreds more on tests and examinations.
