Did not enjoy the care I received here for my very sick cat. Felt like they were only interested in running tests and less interested in using those tests to provide any diagnostic or treatment. Zero follow up. Have switched vets and am much happier.

We have a small cat rescue The staff at Bytown are very helpful and caring, do much more than the minimum for our rescues. They really care about them, and it is very rare that we lose one, because they get the best and most expert care here. They are careful to explain everything they are doing, what they recommend, and why. I have learned an enormous amount over the years just by being their client. The best!

We have been bringing our cats here for over 20 years. The care we receive is always personal, friendly and professional. The sensitivity shown to us when we lost two of our cats (one at age 19, the other at 17) was amazing. If you love your cat and you live in Ottawa, this is the place to go!

I've been going to Bytown for over 20 years: they are the best. The vets know their stuff, the staff are caring and understanding, they go the extra kilometers for every cat in their care. I have a special needs, cat who should not, by all scientific standards, be alive. She is, and high functioning, because of the determination of the Bytown staff to get to the bottom of her condition and make the right diagnosis and recommendations. Yes, I paid a lot for CAT and MRI and specialist input. But what is a life worth to the one who has just that life and no other? I have nothing but praise for this clinic, and recommend them unreservedly to anyone who asks.

Very Expensive, however, the staff treat my animal like the precious gift he is to me. Dr. Rosalyn MacDonald is my favourite by far and I will follow her anywhere she goes. The compassion they showed me when I had to put my pet down was touching and their aftercare follow up even more amazing. I have been going to Bytown for almost 13 years with no complaint.

We've been going there for the last 6 years with our two cats,the three vets specialized in cat care seem all knownledgeable. Once we found a vet with whom we were more confortable, we always ask for her. Sometime, they will suggest many expensives tests at the same time so do not be afraid to ask questions to understand the process. The only thing that lack in the last few years is the front desk service, they are not always very welcoming...a bit cold...like if they have lost passion... More communication through the staff would be nice so the client know what's going on, ex: when one of our cat was hospitalized, we called and went through three different persons before talking to the vet who didn't present herself on the phone...Was confusing.
