Will never go back here. The vet is belittling, condescending, and just generally not a nice person. If you don't agree with everything he says, he changes his attitude towards you from that point on. Also, he abused our Great Dane right in front of me, and when my dog snapped at him because of it, he got belligerent and yelled at me. He told me I had an agressive and dangerous dog - any dog is going to get pissed off if you try and lift them up by the skin on their hindquarters! AVOID AVOID AVOID!

I take all my pets to Valley Lakes- everything from routine vaccinations to surgery. They absolutely love Dr. Hartman. I think it's important to keep in mind that this is a small town vet clinic. Personally, if my pets had a more serious issue that I felt was outside Dr. Hartman's expertise I wouldn't hesitate to go to UW Madison for initial diagnosis and/or treatment. As pet owners, we are responsible for our pets care.

Uses a machine to lift the animals to him for his comfort, makes the dog very scared, and wants out, the dr is lous , speaks loud as if you are deaf
