I am extremely disappointed in the mis-communication or lack there of regarding costs. We were at a follow appointment today after being there for a complete examination with annual shots and some ear meds and cleaner, just two weeks ago for a total cost of just under $300. Today we were charged for a vet requested follow up appointment to see if the ear medication was working. Had this had been communicated during our last visit it would be a non issue. Being charged for you to sit in the waiting room while they took my pet in to do a swab of her ears ( to make sure meds are working) and come out to tell me things look good but to continue with the cleaner every other day because our dogs right ear is still a bit infected and to be charged $40 is not good customer service. Before moving to this area we went to a vet for 10 yrs in town. Never ever were we charged for a follow up to make sure a treatment recommendation is working. NOT IMPRESSED.

I highly recommend the vets and staff here. For over 12 years they took care of my dog and myself, a new dog owner. When it came time for her to cross the rainbow bridge, they couldn't have been more compassionate. I was so surprised to have flowers delivered to me from the Vet Office the same day died, with a follow up card shortly after. I'm not used to businesses going the extra mile and this team has it in spades. Thank you Sassenos Veterinary - if I get another animal, I'll be back.

Dr. Booth is fantastic. She has cared for our dogs for nearly five years. No question the best, most caring and knowledgeable vet I have ever encountered. It’s so incredibly rare (at least in my 25 Years experience as a pet owner), and I feel very fortunate. Thank you Dr. Booth.

I always feel like I am being pressured to buy. The pets do get good care, but I hate being put in that situation every single visit.

Amanda Booth is an amazing vet, super knowledgable and has been excellent with our 2 little dogs. We have seen other vets as well, they are also really good. I highly recommend the vet clinic. Very caring, all of the staff including the ladies at the front??

Pet care doesn't get better than this! All the vets and staff are amazing and supportive. I've never once felt pressured in anyway to do more or spend more, they present the options and leave it to me. I run a rescue group for dogs so I have had my fair share of good and bad and these ladies are the best.

I have a cat with severe bipolar and behavior problems and being military we are not available for monday to friday So we begged for a saturday appointment so our poor cat Luna can get some help so she can destress. I booked the appointment 2 months in advance to get the saturday opening to be told a few days before my appointment they dont do this type of meeting on saturdays, because its time consuming and they rather GET MORE CUSTOMERS IN ON THEIR BUSIEST DAY.. And if being told your cats well being is worth less to them then money was bad enough, She actually started to cuss me out on the phone for trying to fight to keep this appointment. Luna never got the help she needed, I wont go back there after that.

I am also surprised to see the comments from Aug 2013.I have been going to Saseenos for quite some time now and have always had a positive experience with all of the staff and the services from this clinic.I also know from personal experience that no one at that clinic is sponsored by any company for the products or food they sell. Dr. Booth is a very intelligent doctor of vet medicine and have always trusted her, her colleges and her staff to care for my animals.

After moving provinces, we were worried we wouldn't be able to find a vet that met our expectations. Not only has Saseenos met them, they have far supposed them.

Dr Booth is an awesome general veterinary Doctor, but she is also an Internal Medicine Specialist. Her knowledge is extensive and her compassion has no limits. She has given our elderly ill dog a few extra years, patched up our horse and watched our herd health management. She has made sure we knew the best way to care for all our animals. How does one say thank you for that?

I was interested to see the post of 8/13/13. Around the same time, I stopped using the clinic for some of the same reasons..the feeling that I was always having to resist being up-sold. I also felt that I was being talked at. I have to admit though that we seem to be in the minority.

I wish that Amanda could be my doctor! She has always been patient, kind and skilled with our dog, who has some complex health issues. She is always practical and reasonable, explaining why treatment is required and whether things are optional. She has also gone out of her way in the past to try to keep costs down for us when we had a lower income and our dog needed treatment. At one point she asked us to update her about our dog over Christmas because she would be worried about him while the clinic was closed. She is incredibly kind to our dog and is incredible up-to-date and skilled medically. I have nothing but trust and respect for her.

Dr. Booth is the most knowledgeable and caring vet I have every had the pleasure of dealing with. She is rarely on time but I have no issues with this because she takes her time to really explain everything and answers all questions. She is well worth the wait. She provides several treatment options, often referring to specialists even though she is capable herself. Her priority is the care of animals, not making money. I have never had her suggest outrageous tests or exams, nor has she ever pushed a particular brand on us. Her recommendations are backed by information she acquires at conferences (which she attends regularly) and/or research or literature (which she readily has available). I highly recommend her.

I credit Dr. Amanda Booth with giving my cat a second chance at life after being told to euthanize him by an inexperienced and ignorant vet. She is extremely knowledgeable, thorough, patient, and kind. She also actually does diagnostics and treatments herself and doesn't leave everything for her techs to do unlike other clinics, which charge you a premium to have the vet perform a service. She knows I can't spend much more money on my cat and is always recommending the least expensive tests and treatments wherever possible. Their prices are affordable compared to some of the other clinics. The supporting staff are excellent as well - very friendly and caring.

Facilities are fair, reception is great BUT...Amanda Booth takes no responsibility for her awful "veterinary" practices. I can see her being a good vet for the owners who simply want to blindly follow their vets advice, not realizing that for vets like her, it's just a money grab. Amanda will always try to up-sell you the most expensive services, even if there are better and less expensive services available. If there is a better and less expensive option for your pets condition, she will likely "forget" to mention it. As with many vets, she is sponsored by a certain brand of kibble and will try and guilt trip you into feeding it to your pet. She is uneducated in the dietary needs of animals, or rather she is "educated" by the company that sponsors her. Hey Amanda (you really don't deserve the title Dr.), try and grasp the fact that veterinary medicine changes over the years, so if you want to keep your practice, I'd suggest opening your mind to some new ideas.

These people are amazing! Thank you thank you thank you for all the care you've given me and my kids (including my 4 legged ones). The Dr. Booth and staff cared for my family over and above when we really needed the support over the past couple of weeks for ourselves and our 18yr old cat who recently passed away. I can't rate their care and facility high enough.

The staff are wonderful and caring and Dr. Booth has been just an amazing vet. She is a great diagnostician and makes sure you are fully informed about options for your pet. We have taken two cats and two dogs over the past 3 years. When we had to let our 16yr old dog go, it was done with such care for our old gal, and sensitive to our needs as owners.
