Our 10 year old French Bulldog was referred to Dr Legendre for dental work that could not be completed properly by our vet in Nanaimo. I met with Dr Legendre in Nanaimo and decided to have the dental procedure completed in Vancouver. He recommended a laser palate procedure and a widening of one nare as well as further teeth removal. I was so worried about the procedure but was confident in Dr Legendres recommendation. Everything went exactly as planned, our dog recovered very quickly (because of the skilled dental team). We. were sent home with the appropriate medication that was pre-measured as well. So thankful for this being available for our dog. The ferry ride over and back was not an issue. I thought it would be to much for our dog but in reality it was not a problem. Highly recommend and thankful for all of the care given to our dog. This has definitely improved her quality of life, her teeth are so much better now, removal went very well.

Receptionist doesn't care if cat is in pain for 2 months until appointment. Wants 1500 for something the vet does for 500.
This place is just out for your money. I found many places doing the same for 1/3 the money. Shop around and avoid if possible.

Staff were friendly and helpful and Dr. Regalado was AMAZING. She was warm and caring and spent so much time explaining the procedure and alternatives; which I really appreciated. You are not talked down to or rushed out the door. I left my kitty there feeling completely at ease and comfortable that he was in good hands under her care. Pricing was very reasonable.

Dr. Legendre saved our rabbits life. Had he not utilized a cutting edge image technology I have no doubt our little guy would not be here today. Dr. Legendre listened and continued to search for the issue we knew was there. His staff is amazing. Dr. Legendre is one of the best veterinary dentists in the world for rabbits and is miles ahead of what other doctors understand about rabbit teeth.

Just got home from the vet's. I'm emotionally and physically tired after today's ordeal which started this morning when my dog got punctured in the soft palette of her mouth with a stick. At Dr. Legendre and his staff made me feel at home. Their bill was reasonable. I also appreciated their sense of humour. It helped calm me down. I tend to crack jokes when I'm nervous and anxious about something. I got really good vibes from them. My dog is on the couch now, on the mend, dopey but happy. I highly recommend their services.

We were worried about the effects of anesthetic on our senior dog, so we opted to have her teeth cleaned at WCVD. We felt comfortable knowing that there would be someone monitoring her vitals while she was under & figured that the procedure would performed more thoroughly & quickly by dedicated dog dentists. During the cleaning, performed by Dr. Loic Legendre, a lump was discovered. A biopsy proved it to be a plasmacytoma. After going over the prognosis we opted to have it removed the following week. Dr. Legendre performed the complicated procedure with skill & precision. The staff kept us informed throughout the surgery & let us stay in the recovery room as she woke up.She was eating by that evening & had a quick recovery. The prescribed drugs/patch combination worked very well to keep her comfortable. Dr. Legendre got all of the margins. He saved our dogs life! I can't say enough about the expert & kind care provided by Dr. Legendre & the staff at West Coast Veterinary Dental Clinic

The only disadvantage to this hospital is that they are usually booked full, which is not good when you are dealing with medical emergencies. Thankfully they were able to fit my dog in and Dr. Legendre performed a pulp cap quickly and efficiently for a reasonable price. Office staff was great as well! 5/5!

My cat dislocated his bottom jaw over a long weekend, and WC Dental followed up from the emerg referral on the holiday Monday and had him in surgery the next day. Dr. Legendre did a wonderful job on the repair, and the staff were also very helpful. I was thrilled with the quality of service we received (even for my grumpy kitty), especially after I had such a terrible experience at emerg when it first happened. It was a little expensive, but that's to be expected when you go to a specialist - I feel like I actually got what I paid for. No surprise fees when the bill came, and my kitty is now all healed and has clean teeth to boot. An excellent clinic, would highly recommend for any dentistry needs for your pets.

I had been taking my dog to another vet (Arbutus West) for shots and general care the past 3 years until my dog got a gum infection. It became clear the teeth cleaning they had performed the previous year was substandard and the advice they were giving me was inaccurate at best. As well, they have no trained veterinary dentist on staff so the vets performing dental cleanings and surgery have little to no formal training.
So after searching for trained veterinary dentists on the web, I subsequently took my dog to West Coast Veterinary Services who have two highly-qualified veterinary dentists on staff. Their staff members are friendly, extremely knowledgeable, and were able to save my dog’s teeth. He is now perfectly healthy and I continue to brush his teeth daily. My decision saved my dog a lot of unnecessary pain and suffering.
