Love Sooke Veterinary Hospital! My pets (2 dogs and a cat) receive wonderful care from the veterinarians. One of my dogs is a shy, anxious guy but with the staff (from front desk, back staff and the vets) being so kind and gentle with him he is calm and happy during the appointment. Highly recommend.

I love this clinic! From the professional and kind welcoming at the front to seeing the vet, it is always a pleasant experience. My normally shy dog approaches all of the staff looking for cuddles (he doesn't do that to other people). All of the vets are excellent! They listen and work with you to decide the best treatment for your pet. I highly recommend.

Dr Lambert is an excellent vet, one of the best i have ever had the pleasure of dealing with, however the Front desk staff are extremely rude. While inquiring about getting our dying dog looked at and/or put down, I was advised how busy the clinic was and an appointment would be 3 weeks away (understandably as this is a great vet clinic) the receptionist was extremely rude, constantly interrupting me and finally hanging up on me when I asked if I was better off to find another vet as I was concerned about waiting that long, she wouldn’t even put me on a cancellation list-telling me that while many people cancelled they often filled those slots up with emergency calls. I could have used some guidance and advice, instead I was given the run around, not helped and treated terribly. I called back and the receptionist that answered told me she had a hard time believing anyone working there would do that. While I am glad they are so busy, I’m sad they are too busy to be polite or helpful

Took my dog there to see what we could do to calm her down (she barks a lot and is very nervous.) The vet told us that to resolve the barking, we could have 2 choices. Either put her down, or leave it. She was 8 at the time and was very healthy and happy. Transfered all of our pets to Otter Point Veterinary Hospital, and have never seen better service.

I've had both my cats going to this clinic for over 4 years and every time they are helpful and accommodating. It's a busy clinic as it seems everyone wants to bring their pets there, the pet owners of Sooke know a good thing when we find it. I really can't say enough good things about the Doctors or the staff in regards to their knowledge and helpfulness.

I have been there many times and have spent lots of money there but last sunday when I though my dog was seriously injured I went and asked if they would take a quick look at him they were rude. No i did not have an appointment but was scared and upset. Taking two minutes to show a little heart would have gone a long way. I am sure a regular customer would not have minded waiting a few extra minutes for a regular check up or some flea treatment so they could have a look at my dog. I know being a pet owner I would have understood the situation, oh well, you will learn the 250 rule the hard way i guess. I will never spend another dollar in there.

Had surgery on my dog and not only did one of the vets give poor advice about cleansing, as two other vets have since told me after complications, but when my dog got to stitches the other vet said it would heal on it's own. Not at all. The bone was exposed and was in danger of infection and pain because of exposed nerves. Never had worse service.

They were wonderful, and very honest about the course of treatment that was recommended. They did not jump to the most expensive one first (which we have experienced in the past at other clinic). Thank you for giving us options to try, and even with surgery being the ultimate outcome, we felt like we had made the best decisions for our dog :) thank you!

I am so pleased to have Dr Joe & his staff taking care of my pets. He keeps his prices as low as he can, maintains an exceptionally clean and professional office and is acive in the community. I wouldn't want to go anywhere else.

The staff are exceptional, my kitty has had major issues from the get go and the staff is always understanding when I call and have all sorts of questions. They are patient and compassionate. Both Dr's are awesome as well, both with the animals and their people. People skills are often lost in vet clinics but definitely not here! Thank you for all the hard work and for taking such good care of my baby :)

The girls at the desk are always lovely and go above and beyond there job description. Dr. Joe and the other vets are wonderful and really spends the time to get to know you and make sure your pets are comfortable. I enjoy them all so much that even when I moved out of Sooke and into town I kepted them as my vet!

As soon as you walk into Sooke Vet, you realize that you and your four-legged friends are truly welcome and cared for. The staff and vets are warm and friendly and go the extra mile. They helped my neighbour find her dog when it was lost, calling around to other clinics etc to try to locate her. They always try to do the right thing and even had the vet have a quick look at my dog's wound at lunch time and told me I could try to treat it at home with a cleaser they gave me unless I was worried and would like to have a more thorough appointment. They were trying to save me the appointment fee even though it would have been "easy money" for them. When they tell me my pets needs to be seen, I believe them. Even when they're really busy because of emergencies, they let you know they appreciate your patience. The people at Sooke Vet care, that's for sure.
