I've been going to Scottsdale for the last 13+ years. I have NEVER been treated with so much respect & kindness!! My daughter was given an older dog & was determined to be responsible for her. When visiting for her getting older visits the dr's listened to my young daughter talk about Coco's daily routine & the problems arising. They treated her as a client & person not a child to dismiss. When it came time to put her down the dr came in on the day the clinic is closed & set up 1 of the rooms perfectly for us to be there & stayed with my us as we grieve & said goodbye. We've had lots of puppies & dogs since & I drive 70+kms just to go there. I need a dr I can trust with my furry children!!! We had 1 dog get sick after hrs. We raced to Langley emergency hospital where she passed away. Within a week we got a hand written card for our loss. I've never even heard of a veterinarian who does anything close to what they do.

I've taken my dog here for ver 10 years. Dr. Armstrong, when she was there was an excellent and most caring doctor I've met. Sadly, she is semi retired and not at the clinic as often. Dr. Wensink was another vet we see for our dog and shes excellent as well. But recently I saw a vet(Dr. Nanda) I had never met before and he was nice enough at the initial visit about my dog's new "limp". During this visit we found out my dog had a lump on her neck and we sent it for pathology and it came back as mast cell tumour. We needed to have it removed and I was quoated for the surgery. I was called the day of surgery and was asked if I would like to add dental cleaning as my dog WAS ALREADY UNDER ANAESTHETIC, I agreed to the procedure. But when I received the final invoice I was charge for more anaesthetic that I was not aware I was being charged for. I've been back and forth with them for 2wks with no resolution for the additional charges and ppl just passing the buck to ppl who dont know anythin

I took my maltese cross dog in with symptoms of poisoning and they told us to take her to the Emergency Pet Clinic in Langley because they weren't equipped to look after her needs. The Langley clinic is a half hour drive away. What a disappointment, our neighbourhood vet can't deal with emergencies. I would never recommend this clinic to anyone that needs emergency services, ever.

These vets tried to push the leptospirosis vaccine onto my dog, were disrespectful to me on two occasions when I brought my dog there for other reasons. The second time the vet walked in holding the syringe with the vaccine in it, refused to listen to my reservations, and actually screamed at me and left the room, slamming the door. I was shocked and decided I'd never go back there. I haven't.

Nice staff and place but they over charge. Won't be going back after I was charged $50 for a 5 min follow up on my dogs ear infection, that's after already paying $60 for the first exam plus vaccines and medication.Total cost of first visit...over $240.

I had talked and seen a number of vets, as I travel a lot with my now 4 year old cat. I always asked about the cough or fit my cat seemed to have since about 1 year. Not until I saw Dr. Armstrong did I get the answer that she had asthma. Wow now we have an answer and Cagney does not cough have a fit. THANKS! Great hospital and great vet.

I have been taking my pets to Scottsdale for years and have seen all the vets there. They are all fantastic. We now take our two dogs to Dr. Nicole Wensink at Scottsdale and she is a wonderful vet. She is incredibly caring and knowledgeable and always helps me through all the issues my dogs have had, and there have been many. She has performed many surgeries on them with great success and always follows up with me to ensure that they are doing well. When something is out of her reach she always recommends a vet or specialist that she feels our pet will benefit from more than what she can provide. She has handled many complicated surgeries and issues with us with great compassion. She knows how much they mean to me and I always feel she is on our side. I would recommend Dr. Wensink and any of the vets at Scottsdale as they have always done an outstanding job to keep our pets happy and healthy. Their pricing is very reasonable.

The staff here is excellent, friendly, and speaks to me with respect in easy-to-understand terms. The prices are more than fair. I was recommended to come here by a lady who volunteers for BC Guide Dog (apparently all the Guide Dogs and Delta Police K9 come here) and I can see why!

I have been to four veterinary clinics before I found scottsdale clinic and Dr Chris Armstrong. She is the most caring and understanding Dr. around. When my dog was dying of congestive heart failure she made sure all the staff knew if I called the office I got in right now and was treated with the kindest of care. My dog eventually died and got hugs from Dr Chris as well as the employees. I will be getting another puppy and Dr. Armstrong will be my new puppies Dr.

We are extremely pleased with Scottsdale Veterinary Clinic. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful. Dr. Armstrong is our vet and we think that she is just excellent! We began going to Scottsdale because friends told us that Dr. Armstrong had taken their very sick dog home to watch him throughout the night. Although we knew prior to seeing Dr. Armstrong that our dog had allergies, we were unaware that she also had a skin condition called seborrhea. We are extremely grateful to Dr. Armstrong for diagnosing this condition and providing us with medication, products, and lifestyle changes to ease our dog's discomfort and to try and keep the condition under control. We often have questions, and Dr. Armstrong takes the time to answer them in person and on the phone. We regularly recommend Dr. Armstrong to others and we would not take our dog anywhere else!

I have been a client for 16 yrs now. Started going there with my first springer who lasted for 15 yrs. Now have a new pup and would not go anywhere else.Dr Armstrong has been my vet the whole time. She is very professional, caring and knowledgable. During the spray of my new pup , she noticed a small lump on her side, she removed it , and I'm very thankful as it was a mass cell tumour . She has been nothing but attention to details with both of my dogs. I have no problem recommending her to my friends , and I do. Dr Armstrong and her staff are great. I'm grateful to have a vet I trust with my best friend.

I stumbled across this rating site for vets and clinics and thought it necessary to rate my clinic 'Scottsdale Veterinary'. I will never take my cat anywhere else. ALL staff are trained, professional and truly care. Dr. O'Brien is amazing; she is knowledgable, compassionate and truly professional. Everyone takes the time to fully explain what is happening and presents you with realistic options for care. There is no 'estimate pad' like I've been presented with by other vets. After any visit or check-up they aren't trying to rush me out of the door to get to the next client. You may not pay 'less' here but you will never pay 'more' than is necessary. I've never been stopped from asking a question (and I ask plenty) and they are terrific at following up with after-visit phone calls and e-mails. Much to my cat's annoyance, I drive thirty minutes to get there but it's worth it. I'm not sure about the one glaringly negative review here ... it truly seems out of place. They're #1.

My dog has perianal fistulas. Chris Armstron treated the infection, but left raging fistulas. She said the infection is gone. I said I can still see holes. She said the main thing is the infection is gone. I wasn't satisfied with my dog having holes in her anus. I went to another vet and they informed me my dog is in alot of pain. My new vet was knowledgable in this disease and my dog has since been treated properly. They did inform me the treatment I was using was new technology, but they knew about it. Not sure why Scottsdale wasn't in the know??? Sooo glad I went for another opinion. My dog is now pain free and her disease is under contol. Never will go there again. Nor recommend them!

I was referred to SVC by a friend and was very impressed by the level of professionalism and care they provided to me and my new cat. The staff and Dr. Llewellyn were very knowledgeable and made what could have been a very stressful visit for my cat a really pleasant experience. Thanks!

Take my animals to this clinic, and would not dream of taking them anywhere else! They explain exactly why they are charging you what they do, and show nothing but compassion and empathy. They have no problems answering any questions you have, and make sure you understand exactly what your options are.

Dr. O'Brien is the best vet you could hope for. She definitely knows her stuff and is very kind to me and my pets. She has provided excellent care to my cats and dog - and diagnosed health problems others had not be able to. The other vets there are good too as are the staff. The service and quality of care I receive is great and they will go out of their way to help you.

The clinic is large and clean. However, I was not impressed with the service. They talk down to you and don't encourage questions. They also don't bother to assess your knowledge and experience. They are greedy and make you feel like they are not really interested in the welfare of your pet - just interested in making you go through unnecessary tests and exams to get more money out of you. The experience and especially prices are not good here.

Scottsdale Animal Hospital is the gold standard in veterinary clinics in Canada. The staff is well trained and able to answer all of the questions that I have asked in the past 5 years. The techs treated my animals with patience, love and care. The reception staff knows what is going on (I never heard the words "I don't know")and the veterinarians go above and beyond what I would normally expect. I have 4 cats, a dog and a bird. Their care has been exceptional. The veterinarians look at every aspect of treatment, the affordability and whether or not the owner is willing and able to help in their pets recovery (giving meds, walks, baths, etc.) When faced with a costly surgery decision, they worked with me in structuring a repayment plan and getting my cat pushed to the head of the line for an MRI. They follow up on all treatments and explain everything thoroughly in terms that are easily understood. Even though I have moved Scottsdale Animal Hos is worth driving across town for!!!

Great caring hospital. I have seen Dr. Armstrong for over 10 years and she has always been honest with me and given me the information needed to make decisions on my pets health. I often get a follow up call from the hospital to make sure everything is fine.

I've been going there for 19 years and wouldn't trust anyone else. They do whats best for my dogs and aren't afraid to tell me if I'm in the wrong. (Too fat of a dog) Highly recommend, very professional and they give back to the community.

We starting using this vet when our now 9 year old dog was a puppy. We were always happy with the care and never questioned the bills since we felt like we were getting good service...until our last visit. I felt like the vet was trying to upsell us on everything he could. He recommended a test that I declined. When I got home and checked the previous bill I found that we had had that test done in the Spring. Service on this visit seemed very impersonal and left me with the impression that this particular vet had no knowledge of our dog's medical history and didn't bother to open the file and scan it for details. I don't mind paying top dollar for outstanding care but we sure didn't receive it on this visit. Can anybody recommend a good vet in the Langley, Surrey, Delta area?

misdiagnosed my dog. My dog was treated with antibiotics and basically left in extreme pain. Overpriced, sure nice office but we know who is paying for that....I have since found a new vet that actually treated my dogs disease and now her prognosis is very good. She has to be on meds for the rest of her life, but not in pain anymore. I would never recommend this vet to anyone. Very greedy and uncaring about animals. My cat also died after being treated there.

Would not recommend this clinic. One of the vets tried to push her personal beliefs onto us about our pet. Her opinion should be limited to medical advice only, She does not know our pet as well as we do and therefore can't advocate for it as well as we can. Most of the staff were friendly, except one who seemed to have a chip on her shoulder. Personal attitudes of vets don't belong at work. We now take our pet to a wonderful vet elsewhere and would never return here.

MISDIAGNOSED MY DOG ON 3 SEPERATE OCCASIONS BY 2 DOCTORS. JUST KEPT PERSCRIBING ANTIBIOTICS (4 TIMES TO BE EXACT). WHEN FINALLY FOUND THE PROBLEM WAS GIVEN AN ESTIMATE FOR SURGERY FOR TWICE THE PRICE OF OTHER VETS IN LANGLEY. HORRIBLE. JUST LOOKING TO TAKE YOUR MONEY. WILL NEVER GO HERE AGAIN. PLUS STARTED TO TALK TO PEOPLE ABOUT THIS VET AND THEY SAID THEY ARE KNOWN FOR HIGH PRICING.

This vet is very inexpensive AND they give amazing treatments! Everyone, including the 4+ secretaries, are so helpful and friendly. Dr. Obrien is the best, but all the others are amazing too. None of them try to push treatments or products on you, and they go out of their way to try and give you as much treatment for the least amount of money. They are also so compassionate. When I had to put my dog down they let my family take over 1 of 3 exam rooms to mourn. They then sent us his ashes and a surprise paw imprint they had taken for us. I would never take my dog anywhere else now.

We have been taking all of our pets to this vet for over 2 years, and by "all", I mean 3 full-grown dogs, 13 puppies, and 2 cats. We LOVE this vet, they treat all of our pets like their own, and our dogs love going there. Dr. O'Brien saved our dog's life when he was repeatedly misdiagnosed by another vet and on the brink of death, and now 2 years later he is happy, healthy and on daily meds for the rest of his life. I can't say enough about all of the vets here, as well as the technicians and reception staff...they are all wonderful, caring people who genuinely care for the well-being of your pets. We whole-heartedly recommend this vet to anyone with a pet, for any reason!
