My feline fur babies have been seeing Dr. Baljit for over a decade. He has always been very professional, knowledgeable and caring. His staff are also lovely. The clinic is very clean and appointments are on time. Thank you for being a reliable pet health source in the community.

Where do I even start with Dr. Mrar? Simply put, he is the best. My little pup swallowed a foreign object over the weekend and required emergency surgery to remove it.
Dr. Mrar’s professionalism, calm yet funny demeanour, and his knowledge/passion towards animals left my family and I at ease. It is to note that he was the second vet I consulted and upon meeting him I knew right away that my little guy was in the best of hand - I actually left Avon with a smile on my face.
The surgery was successful and my little guy has been recovering well since. I’m not only grateful and amazed at his response to an emergency surgery, but rather his actions displayed post surgery. He constantly checks up on my pup, is very informative on what is happening, provides prompt answers/help within minutes, and is currently helping me find the right pet insurance.
Thank you Dr. Mrar, for everything you have done. My family and I are forever grateful for you and your staff.

We have taken our three dogs and two cats here for over 10 years along with other pets who have since passed and we have always received excellent care for them. One of our dogs was critically ill and required surgery a year ago. We were kept informed of her condition throughout each day and we were allowed to visit her to ease our anxiety.

Would not recommend, went there to get an exam for my dog. All went well until the doctor told us that there was a fracture in my dog's back molars and gave us an estimate cost of $1284, when asked for more information about the procedure he had the audacity to say that his time is too valuable for these questions and explanation and brought another technician to explain the procedure. But when questions were asked toward the vet technician she was uneducated in that procedure and could not answer any of the questions asked. I just took my dog to another vet for a second opinion and got quoted $400 for the same procedure at Atlantic Animal Hospital and the doctor there even explained the whole breakdown and was patient and answered all of my questions. If I were you, I would find another vet who doesn't tell you dead in your face that "his time is too valuable".

So glad I came to Avon for my Lilly Belle. She has dealt with crystals (she is being watched carefully by Avon) and we just had her spayed. Procedures are explained and costs given up front. No hidden fees. They have given her amazing care and will definitely be bringing our other cat to Avon.

From Sandy the nurse/receptionist to the best Veterinarian anyone can ever ask for, Dr. Baljit is a very caring loving and humorous man. He is here to help, trust me when I say this place is amazing. Dr. Baljit goes above and beyond to help his customers and their pets! He will never over charge you or rip you off in anyway. This animal hospital is highly recommended for your fur babies.

We've been going to see Dr. Baljit Mrar (Bill) – DVM at Avon Animal Hospital for 15 years. He is an excellent Vet with a very caring bedside manner. We trust his expertise in diagnosing and treating our pets. Very compassionate when we have had to euthanize a beloved pet.

Not only are the staff nice & welcoming, but they really are knowledgeable. We struggled with medical answers for our cat, which compiled to multiple issues from GI, urinary and behavioural problems. It wasn’t until we got fed up and left our previous vet and found Avon did we get the answers we needed. We moved our dog to them right after that. You won’t regret it!!

Our great dane had bloat. We rushed him to the vet and Dr Bill put everything on hold to start his surgery immediately when he arrived. He did an outstanding job and our dog is back to his old self. His office staff was even nice enough to let us visit when our dog had to stay over. He took the worst day of my life and turned it around. Dr Bill is a FANTASTIC vet and I will be recommending him to all my friends and family

Not good! We put our black lab down in 2011. Checked reviews, all was good. We asked the doctor if we were making the right choice (her back end had lost all feeling and mobility) he assured us yes, said her quality of life is gone. We weren't aware that there wasn't a separate room for euthanization. It was just in their back operating room. They laid out a towel and 2 chairs, like it was an execution. Hardly any room to sit with our baby girl. She was the kindest most gentle soul. And she got super stressed and started freaking out. His assistant was helping to keep her still, and we asked to let us calm her down, but he had stuck the meds in and it was done. So her last moments were full of stress. Then his assistant in his white coat gets up walks across the room and proceeds to lint roll all the black hair off his jacket. Not impressed. It was awful! I will NEVER go back and I highly recommend going somewhere else! They just want your money!

We've been dealing with AAH since they opened and over the years we have had a Lab and Yorkie pass due to age and currently have 2 more Yorkies, a Keeshond and a Persian cat. Dr. B and his staff have always shown compassion to us when it came time for the older ones and been knowledgeable, honest and reasonable in cost in care of our current pets. We recently had some issues with our youngest pet, the Keeshond and Dr. B did everything he could to help us determine the best course of action and we are very happy to say he is a happy dog again running around being the character that he is. We are grateful to this Vet and all of his staff and have recommended to those that we know when they get new family members.

I have take my puppy to get her first two sets of vaccines and have had great service. The ladies at the front desk have been very kind and helpful. Also the vet was very thorough and gave me some things to look out for to make sure she isn't getting sick. Would recommend this clinic to anyone that is having a new member join their family.

I have been going to this vet since the day I got my pup. My dog is now 6 months old and I wouldn't even think of taking him anywhere else. The staff is amazing and is super friendly. Dr. Bill and Dr. Amir are both amazing vets and have given my pup nothing but the best care. My dog has been through a giardia illness and a dog bite and they have helped me understand everything that needed to be done and were very accommodating with me. They really do care about the animals they are treating and I trust them with my pet's life. I would recommend this clinic to anyone who asked because I believe that they truly are an amazing team at Avon!

Everyone at Avon Animal Hospital have given our pugX, Susie Q, excellent care for 4 years. At only 8 weeks she fell off the bed and broke her hind leg--she was growing so fast the cast had to be changed three times--and at 6 months the tendons in that knee had to be pinned. To see her run and jump now as if nothing had ever happened is wonderful. Avon always provides a clean, safe, caring atmosphere along with excellent advice and medical attention. They are also helpful in submitting pet insurance claims. They are our first choice for veterinary services. PS The email reminders are great too. Rilla and David Blancard

In the last 6 mos I started to see Dr. Bill at Avon Animal Hospital. During this time he and the staff have been more then helpful, with and concerns that I have had regarding my dogs. We also had an one evening with one of our pups and he was there in a matter of minutes, to suture my pups ear and make sure he was fine to go back home. He has been not only a caring and compassionate Vet but he takes the time to tell you what he needs to do with your fur family member to make sure that they are happy and healthy. I would recommend Dr. Bill to anyone looking for a new veterinarian or looking to switch.

My cat threw up blood on Jan. 1. A holiday. Called the office and Dr. Bill answered and said he would wait for me. We were treated with care once there immediately. He explained each test and what it might be, allowed me to choose tests and gave a shot for pain right away. After an X-ray and blood tests done quickly, he showed me a lot of gas in her and an infection detected by blood test. He gave a shot for poisoning because my cat goes outside. He offered overnight care but allowed me to choose bringing her home, because she was not too dehydrated. He gave her her first antibiotic and sent us home with a seven day oral antibiotic. He has called to check on her and offered more pain mess if she needs. He did. Not charge me a "holiday" rate which was wonderful. The charges just over $500.00 was very reasonable and generous on their part. He sure knows how to handle miserable cats, which mine was, very clean, kind caring. Totally recommend.

Based on reviews on this site. I took my geriatric cat, Yasmine, to Avon after she began to vomit frequently. She was quickly seen by Dr. Amir and his assistant Tori, and a investigation plan was created. Tests were run, hydration was given, and results were reviewed with veterinary specialists. Over the course of 4 days, I have received strong, competent guidance and information; my questions have always been encouraged and welcomed; Yasmine has been treated respectfully and gently; there's never been pressure to pursue any test or procedure; and all the staff have been very friendly and supportive. A special thanks goes to Tori who was able to find a near-immediate Ultrasound appointment for Yas given her urgent condition. Her care was top-notch and she is rebounding, though there is a distance to go. In summary, I am most pleased with the level of service and dedication everyone at Avon has shown, and I highly recommend this clinic to dog and cat lovers in Surrey. Excellent!

We went to this clinic November 2014 when our 10 lb chihuahua got sick. He did everything and more to try and save her but she developed sepsis and passed away during her second Surgery. This was very hard on us as she was our little fur baby. We miss her terribly. Dr. Baljit was very supportive and the staff was so wonderful in helping us deal with everything. We have since gotten a new fur baby and have gone back to Dr. Baljit. We will only go see him. Thank you Avon Animal Hospital for everything you have done for us. We are very appreciative of how hard you worked on trying to save Brandy. We will never forget it.

I love Avon animal hospital when my dog was about 10 weeks old she got into a bag of poison i took her to dr bill and he right away did everything he could to save her he didn't stress over money he was just concerned about making my dog better. the staff there is amazing my favorite vet assistant is Tori she always remembers who we are and follows up to see how our dog is doing after any visits i will never go to another vet.

My family has two young dogs. We live in NOrth Delta but drive to Avon Animal Hospital for their annual vaccinations because the service is great and the price is affordable (especially with two of them). We also had them both neutered at Avon and they healed quickly with no problems. Everyone at the clinic is friendly and makes our dogs feel special. We feel they are in very good hands.

Dr. Bill and the entire staff at Avon Animal Hospital are very accommodating. I've been taking my Teacup Maltese to them for about 3 years now and i'm more than happy with the service. The facilities are clean, the Doctors are well trained and the prices are reasonable. I have referred many other happy customers to them as well and will continue to do so because they are an awesome clinic and Veterinary team. On our last visit to Canada, my wife and I with my pet(romeo) stayed at my relatives house. Everything went great until romeo got his hands on chocolate. We didn't know what to do. After spending 5 minutes on google, i contacted Dr. Bill and i was able to get him to come to the house to get my dog treated, i didn't feel like taking him in because he was vomiting everywhere and breathing crazy. The toxic level was moderate, and he took good care of romeo. He performed physical exam and gave fluids to keep him hydrated, all lasted about 4 hours. I am glad i contacted Dr. Bill and he took care of my dog. Thank your for your excellent service.

Do not go to this clinic! The doctor is incredibly rude to his staff and sometimes even to his clients. He only cares about the money not the animals. And for the love of god do not get your cats neutered here! They don't put male cats under anesthetic because it's cheaper and easier to just sedate them. Which means your cat is sedated so he can't move but he feels the whole operation!!

I was recommended to Avon Animal Hospital by the breeder that I bought my puppy from. I was looking for a new vet as my 3 and a half dog had undergone a routine dental at a vet that I had used for 5 years and she had shockingly died on the table. Devastated and heartbroken, I was very upset and concerned about having the new puppy spayed as she was 7 months old and I had bought her on a non breeding agreement. Dr. Bill was very kind and understanding and he spoke to me at length about anesthesia and the risks and about how very careful they were, especially with the little breeds as both of my dogs were Chihuahuas. I felt much better after I spoke to him and he even offered to have a look at the autopsy for me. My new little puppy came through her surgery with flying colors and is already back to normal. The staff were very kind and they took extra good care of her. After such a heartbreaking prior experience, I feel extremely comfortaable recommending Avon Animal Hospital!

I have 2 dogs of which I have taken to this clinic for 10 years. Dr. B. and staff have always been very friendly and shown care anytime I have them in for treatment. They recently have updated the facilities which looks very nice when you walk in. When I've had a concern with either of my dogs they would always take the time to examine and treat them. My sweet cat appeared to be unwell so we brought her to see Dr. Bill at Avon ANimal Clinic in Surrey/Langley, BC. After some tests we discovered she has feline diabeties. I was reassured that I could manage this at home and with the support of the clinic staff - my cat has had a wonderful return to health. I am so grateful.

We ended up at Avon one Sunday when our dog collapsed. The vet who had been treating our otherwise healthy dog for arthritis was closed. When Dr B found out about the drug the dog was on, the dose and the length of time she'd been on it, he gently explained that she may not survive (dose was too high, and drug meant for short-term use only). Dr B spent the next 4 days working with the drug company trying to save our dog. He was genuinely frustrated that he could not reverse the damage done by the drug the other vet had prescribed incorrectly. Although Dr B couldn't save our dog, we've brought our animals to Avon ever since. We've since had to put down a second dog and were again impressed by the compassion care at Avon. What I also appreciate about Avon is they take the time to explain treatment options and costs before proceeding. We are never shocked by a huge bill at the end of a visit like we were at our former vet. Our animals get caring, gentle treatment and we get a fair bill.

Avon Animal Hospital has cared for my two cats (8 and 9 years old) from adoption. The staff is very friendly. The website is first rate. Any care needed has been efficiently handled. Recently my nine year female cat flopped over and couldn't walk more than a couple of steps. I thought she had a stroke. Dr. Baljit Mrar took her right in, and they sedated her. On examination, Dr. Mrar explained she had torn a ligament and the reasons why he thought so. X-rays were taken to confirm. The only treatment available was an operation to repair the ligaments. I was afraid for my pet to have an op, but I was reassured by Dr.Mrar. He fixed two ligaments, 1 completely ruptured, and the other partially. The staff took wonderful care of Isis, and I was allowed to visit her in recovery. The next day Isis came home with a meds and instructions for her care. 9 days later, she is doing very well. Dr. Mrar even telephoned a week later to see how Isis was doing. I am very happy with my vet and his staff.

We waited for 20 mins while Dr Bill made a personal phone call, he then went and got coffee then he rushed through our apt on both visits. The Prices there are WAY higher than other local Vets. I felt like I was just there to hand over our $. On his recommendation I switched foods which caused our puppy to be sick and when we called him about it he told us we could come in and pay up to $ 500 depending in what tests he did. I switched her food back and she was FINE!

I took my dog here for a general health check as part of my purchase contract. The office was small and cramped and not the nicest or cleanest. What disturbed me most was the vet's behaviour. He looked over my dog briefly and then without explanation took him away into a back room and left me standing there.When he returned I asked what he was doing and he claimed he was checking his hips, which does not make sense as he could have done that on the table. I do not know what occurred in the back room, but it is VERY un-nerving to have your precious pet secretly shuttled away. I was very uncomfortable about the whole thing and will never return.

Dr. Bill, Megan and all the staff are wonderful. I highly recommend Avon Hospital. I had a dog with chronic diarrhea and had spent $300.00 at another clinic, had to wait days for results, to no avail, with Dr Bill he found out what was wrong, the same day, and it was $65.00 !! I was so relieved. He is always very thorough with exams on my dogs and puppies, I am a breeder so this is important. If I have an emergency, the staff will get me in immediately. After 2 visits to Avon Animal Hospital, I switched from my regular vet to Dr. Bill. I feel very safe and confident with Dr. Bill. The staff are very professional, yet they treat me and my dogs like family. I am very happy I found Avon. I suggest to anyone, go there look around and see for yourself how clean and bright the building is and also how caring Dr. Bill and his staff are !! I think hes the best vet in Langley !

I've been taking Tyson (Golden Retreiver) to Dr. Bill Since 2003 and at each visit have received excellent service. The clinic itself is well kept. Since our first visit to the Clinic Megan as well as all other staff have been very helpful, supportive and informative; before, during and after medical procedures. Dr. Bill always listens to us and explains everything throughly. The way he handles his pets, you can tell that he loves and cares for them. Recently, our dog fell extremely sick and Dr. Bill willingly came to take care of Tyson on New Years Eve. I am greatful to have such a caring vet to take care of Tyson and feel safe leaving Tyson under his care.

I have had nothing but great service and kindness from the staff. They have allowed me to take part in the care of my animals, and as a breeder that is very important to me. I would like to say thanks for all you do for me and my animals.

Very poor service and lack of proper education as far as the vets go. Our dog was not properly treated for a simple illness and died from this poor care.

I have been a client of Dr Baljit Mrar for 9 years now. He is always there for my Pugs even afters hours if needed. He has preformed many surgeries for my animals from Cesareans, spay/neuters to teeth cleaning etc, and I trust him totally. I have sent many of my grooming clients to him as well. The staff is courteous, knowledgable and very caring of the animals and their needs. As a groomer of 23 years and a Pug breeder of show quality Pug dogs I highly recommend Dr Baljit and Avon Animal hospital.

Probably the best vet in langley. He explained everything in terms that i could understand and always answered my questions. He always takes good care of my puppy and always explains the procedures out in the simplest of terms. I have never been to a vet where the staff appreciate you as a valued customer more then avon animal hospital.

I never felt right going to this vet but because my mom was paying, she wanted the most affordable place. The receptionists are nice but the vets themselves aren't so great. One has a very strong accent and terrible english, I'm never sure what they're saying and can't feel confident they know what they're doing. They can't even explain my dog's blood test results to me, just repeated "inflammation." Our cat was spayed there, it was supposed to be about 90 dollars and ended up being 200. They've charged us different amounts for the same products on different occasions. The vets are very rough with the animals, it makes me nervous to wonder what they're like when the pet's owner isn't there watching. My dog is sick and they couldn't figure out why, I won't be going back there again.

A family member recommended Dr. Bill as we searched for a new vet for our elderly dog. We found him and his staff very compassionate and honest about the health of our family pet. We really appreciate that they fully discuss all costs and do not pressure us to go forward with any procedures we don't feel comfortable with. We are very pleased to have Dr. Bill and his staff taking care of our pet as she battles the challenges of her senior years.

I, too, have been using the vet and clinic for about 6 years now without any complaint. I have had several surgeries done including a terrible coyote attack and even eye surgery. All have been successful and affordable. The staff have always kept me updated via the phone or in person. They are friendly, very helpful and really great with the animals. I have never seen the clinic dirty or disorderly in any fashion. I recommend this clinic to everyone, as I have been treated very well, and so have my pets for the past 6 years. Drop by the clinic, meet the staff and see for yourself.

I would NEVER take an animal to this place! Not only did I receive the worst service in a filthy facility by a vet with a huge ego, But I was way overcharged and my dog came home with kennel cough after being there just one night. He also had**** all over his but when he was brought to me. I should have listened to my neighbour, she said he referred her to a breeder for a puppy and it was nothing but a mill of unhealthy pups. She lost 2 dogs, 8 months apart in this vets office. Both simple procedures. Both dogs were healthy. When I took my dog to another vet close to them to get anti-biotics for the cough, she said he is known among vets and has always had dollar signs in his eyes. She said she has 2 new rescues going to her now because they were so unhappy with this place. So, I dont think it was just a bad day. I would stay clear. Its filty in there! The meek girl at the front was a sweetie and seemed afraid of the 2 vets. Both men. my dog is finally fine now. Never going back!

I have been going to this Vet for approx 7 years now and have always received great service. They have always provided me with exellent information to be able to make decisions for the care of my dogs. I have never felt pressured to have procedures done, and all the staff have been polite and compassionate. I just adopted a 2 year old dog and she will be going to this clinic for all her care. I find the price very fair and if any procedures have been needed, I always ask up front what the cost will be, and have never been surprised by any unexpected costs. In fact, at times they have provided services at no cost, where other Vets would have charged me for. I would recommend this Vet to anyone! I do not live near Langley and I still continue to go to this clinic. Perhaps you might want to stop by the clinic to meet with the staff before you need to bring your pets there, that way you can judge for yourselves.

we were recommended to go to your hospital from a friend. we went there for the first time once we got a new puppy. when we went for the first time we were given a tour of the entire clinic and the clinic was a very clean and well kept. when we went to have our puppy nuetered the staff were very informative and upfront. they also keep there dog and cat kennels seperate and the vets and nurses are very caring towards the animals and we have been goin here for about a year and would highly recommend this clinic to all.

We took our cat to get fixed and was only suppose to be $60 but then foud out every part of the surgery was a seperate amount. The bill ended up being $200

I was referred to this clinic by a friend. The staff was very helpful, but the doctor was quite rude. I too (same as other person who voted) heard the way he talked to his staff. It was absolutely ridiculous! NEVER in my life have I EVER heard someone talk to his staff like that! He was yelling and made me wait in the room as he yelled at the lady. I feel VERy sorry for the girl there, and the others if that is how he treats the people that work for him. Worst thing is it turms out he's the boss there! Can't beleive he treats his staff like that! I would never work for someone like that! And I am never going back, how can you respect someone with your pets (family) that treats other people that way! I can't! I love my pets too much to let them be subjected to whatever happens "behind the scenes". If the Dr talks to people that way in front of customers then what is to say is happening to our pets/loved ones! THINK ABOUT IT PEOPLE! DONT GO THERE!!!

I was there for a simple recheck, all went well. But the way the doctor spoke to his staff was disgusting! He'd 'bark' a command then snap his fingers, like he was training dogs. Then he would yell "ACTION ACTION" at them. The poor ladies, I feel sorry for anyone who has to work for someone like him. Disgracful, and disrespectful to people who help keep his business running. Just disgusting!!!

We spent $500 to find out why our cat wasn't eating and was losing weight. A friend went to another clinic with her cat for the same reason and spent $300 for the same tests. Earlier, when we took our new puppy to get her shots, he kept offering more vaccines at discounted rates. He also treated my sister's cat and kept "giving her a deal" on treatment that wound up costing $2000. It seems to me that if they're able to discount that much, they're charging too much to begin with.

Wasn't overall impressed with this clinic. The vet and staff didn't seem to have any passion for this line of work. Unfriendly and almost rude. I had both my cats spayed there on the same day. The clinic called not even TWO HOURS after I dropped them off to come and pick them up. They were in no condition to be picked up and placed in carriers to be taken home. They simply did not want them there for the rest of the day to recover. This place doesn't have a geniune care for animals, just the money. Would never step foot in that place again.

One should listen to their 1st suspicions. Having got tired of Langley Animal Clinic which is essentially a criminal enterprise, decided to try a vet who had been sending me promotional coupons not realizing he had been been in business 7 years???. Procedures were inordinately inexpensive, and was prepared to allow another $100. on a uncomplicated dog spaying. Had the forethought to ask for cost up front. Glad I did. Without essential unforeseen procedures,(ie.intravenous fluids,enlarged uterous) FIVE (5) times posted rate. Receptionist also deemed nail clipping, tattooing, and flea treatment essential part of hysterectomy. Vet stood in doorway, said nothing to hang on to the only customer he had in the clinic quite willing to pay the going rate. He has lots of competition in Langley B.C.,so loaded my dog back in the car, and decided to avail myself of at least one of them. I'm a good customer (15 animals) but I really don't like being dinged. Needs to revise business program I expect.

Been put in a dirty room several times.Felt that they were too busy so my emerge case was not attended to and passed away. Happened again too. I knew my animals were not getting enough of the doctors attention. They had no idea how either had died. Was told to put my dog down, had kennel cough bad and was a senior. I didnt and cleared it up with my own remedies and had the dog 6 more healthy years. Hard to understand the vets accent. Reseptionist are great. Just dont feel these vets would go the extra mile. Ive had vets that do. Cheaper prices but you get what you pay for. Wouldnt trust this place with and more of my pets honestly, especially if its severe. Maybe go here for shots. They also now have decided to de-claw cats again which I feel is an inhumane. Most vets wont do it and feel the same way. Dont like their boarding methods, animals stay caged all day and night and only taken out for potty breaks. No walks. Sad to leave a pet for days. Were not able to help any pet of mine.
