They do NOT answer the phones! We tried for over an hour. We finally went there in person to make the appointment and the lady at the check in counter said, “We don’t have time to answer phones”.
There was only TWO other people in the lobby.
The doctors and others working in the back are great! But the ladies at the front counter are rude and uncaring.
We now have another vet for our pets.

Im so thankful for dr.Sharma. Our dog Winnie has been suffereing from skin problems for a long time. He helped us diagnose a thyroid problem in our dog and she is now doing amazing. Dr.Sharma was very attentive and is helping us address all of Winnies concerns one at a time allowing us to budget for it. Thank you dr.Sharma and staff

I had my cat neutered there last week and had a free recheck today. Dr. Sharma and his staffs have been really nice and my cat is super calm and relaxed with them. I have visited there twice and Dr. Sharma has been really polite to open the door for me every time when I leave. Definitely a smart choice for your pet.

Dr.Sharma may be straightforward but after many visits I can tell that he cares only about what's best for my pets. He only recommended tests when necessary and I have heard many good things about him treating pets for low income folks so I am happy to support this clinic. We come all the way from Abbotsford to this clinic.

This clinic has the best service and price! You can tell they really care about our pets. They always fit us in, even when we drop in because my schedule is so hectic, even once when i dropped by right after they closed. The staff is very friendly in person and on the phone. Dr.Sharma will be our go to vet for all our petsé

Just moved to the area and I'm so thankful That a friend recommended high point to me. My dog was attacked by another a dog and severely wounded. It was 11pm when I called and dr.sharma still took us in. He was thorough and explained everything that needed to be done and most importantly helped my pup out right away. Their fees are reasonable and I will definitely be returning.

I had a horrible experience with the new vet (dr. Sharma I think it was) at this clinic. He was extremely rude and obnoxious and could not do his job. I went to get my dog's rabbies shot and the vet failed at it. He did not build any rapport with the dog and went in straight away to stab my dog. He was rude to me aswell as my cousin who accompanied me. I would never go back and would not recommend him. I have never experience such a rude vet. I miss dr.shamsher and the receptionists that previously worked there

I originally came here because I loved Dr. Shamsher. I felt he really listened to me and my pet and was very informative. His staff is always very friendly and I always feel my pet is well cared for. There is a new Doctor however. Dr. Shahid. He is terrible at explaining anything and I feel he knows nothing. He gave my dog shots and left the needle in his skin. Not to mention he couldn't tell if the needle was in and was squishing the needle already. I'm not even 100% sure my dog got the medication. Won't be coming back to this Dr ever again.

Ive been to High Point recently & they have this new doctor.Well this Dr.Shahid was horrible. He was rough with my pet.He didnt seem to care what I was concerned about.I couldn't understand a word he said. when I walked in he was yelling at the staff & seemed very rude to the girl that was working. I should have ran out the door at that point.He raised his voice to me as well & cut me off when I was explaining my concerns. oh also had the worse body odour ever. I will not be back even though I like the girls that work there. I will also not recommend this hospital to anyone & will talk to the people I've recommended it to. Off to Poco to see Dr.Johnson

Just an FYI: Dr. Johnson is no longer at this clinic & Dr. Won gone too. The previous receptionist & vet technician also gone, they left beginning of Jan 2015. There are now 3 foreign trained vets working there. I got Dr Virender Ahlawat today - he's there Sundays and Mondays. Not sure about him. My cat didn't particularly like him. My cat is a female. She's a calm cat but the vet was abit rough examining her so she didn't like that. She was never like that with Dr. Johnson - she was patient & more gentle. I heard she left to go to a clinic in POCO. Not sure if I'm going to take my cats back there.

My pet has been a patient at High Point for a number of years (annual wellness checks and minor ailments treated by Dr Shamsher). This year we met Dr Johnson and we are very happy with her caring and calm personality. She is very thorough and explains in detail. I am so pleased that she does not rush into a treatment plan until all facts are put together. The clinic is very clean and the staff there is friendlier and more caring towards your pet than many others we have experienced over the years. I highly recommend Dr Johnson and staff. Your beloved pet will be in good hands!

INCOMPETENT, UNPROFESSIONAL AND UNACCEPTABLE. - The vet introduced himself as Raj. My dog entered the exam room with a short 3 second growl at him, feeling uneasy and nervous as this was our first time at High Point. The vet's first words were "we can put a muzzle on that thing". The vet seemed terrified and stopped dead in his tracks. The "exam" carried on with the vet asking us to hold my pup's mouth shut so he can exam her eye...then followed by telling us to hold my pup's mouth open so he can look at her teeth..all this was done while he was standing at least 2 feet from her, not having contact with her ONCE through out the entire exam. (he was too scared?) He CLEARLY did not know how to handle animals or even seemed to WANT to. At this point, we had had enough and left with nothing. How can anyone trust a vet that seems terrified of animals?

this animal hospital is AWESOME ! The staff are so kind and caring; not to mention knowledgable ! The staff also aren't judgemental in any way shape or form ! I brought my dog in a few times and have met both Dr Shamsher and Dr Johnson, both doctors are amazing and knowledgeable ! The best thing about the doctors is that they try to save YOU money ; not the other way around! Their volunteer is also extremely kind and caring an doesn't seem to be afraid to try anything ! Despite her age, she is much more mature and well mannered then most teenage girls her age! And also very fearless and caring with the dogs, unlike lost volunteers I have come across in vet hospitals . All the girls on staff are truly amazing, there aren't enough words to show how amazing and caring and awesome the people at this hospital are, it's also EXTREMELY CLEAN ! great job guys! Keep it Up!!! :)

Dr Shamsher has been fabulous the handful of times I have seen him. He has stayed late to squeeze us in, and never rushed through an appointment. I appreciate how he is imformative during the appointments and tells you what he thinks and what his plans are the animal. I'm a volunteer for a rescue organization - and he still gives this service for these homeless animals. The girls that assist him are also very helpful and efficient. Great service, good pricing- don't let the area scare you off. This is a great office.

I have been with this clinic for a short time but my experiences have been stellar thus far. I have only spoken to Dr Shamsher by telephone (was very impressed with him. He stayed on the phone for some time, never appeared rushed, and was very thorough.) I saw Dr Johnson last visit and find her to be a very compassionate and patient individual. She went through the vaccines with us and clarified what we need and don't need. Never did I feel rushed or sold unnecessary vaccines or services. Prices are very reasonable. They also have a spay/neuter program in place for wild/feral cats to help prevent over-population and disease. So far, so *very* good. If anything changes, I will be sure to update my review as we are spaying our puppy soon but I don't anticipate having any troubles whatsoever and am overall pleased with the clinic.

I have a 4 yr old Calico cat. When I come home she is ALWAYS at the door to greet me. When I came home she was not there and that same night I noticed that she was having a hard time waking and jumping up, and seem to be sensitive on her lower back. I took her to High Point (first time we've been there). They took her in immediately. In less than an hour they had examined her, took blood, put her on fluids and had an answer for me. She had a virus and gave me antibiotics. The following day the pain was worse. I called the vet back (Dr Johnson) and was asked to bring her back in for X-rays. Once again she got immediate care. She was brought back to me wrapped in a blanket, and we only had to wait for about 15 minutes for the results. Once the antibiotics and pain meds kicked in she started feeling better. She is now back to normal thanks to the Dr & staff at High Point. I will be recommending High Point Animal Hosp!!!

I requested, several times, for tests to be done on my pug puppy as he was showing signs of serious breathing problems. Dr Shamsher ensured me there was nothing to worry about. I eventually went for a second opinion and that doctor informed me that there is actually a problem. She referred me to a specialist as pugs may need surgery for their palate. Unfortunately my puppy didn't make it before the appointment. If only the testing was done sooner then my puppy would be alive and well today.

Dr. Shamsher is a very compassionate and caring vet. I had used the same vet for many many years and when she retired I didn't know where to go. I tried a couple of other vets and was very dissatisfied but when I went to Dr. Shamsher his kindness, his thorough explanations and the fair fees won me over. I'll be going there from now on.

I would like to leave a comment to say thank to Dr. Shamsher and all staffs at the High Point Animal Hospital. I had gone to a few of vets before I went to Dr. Shamsher, he's the best vet ever and I also appreciate his staffs too. They truely love pets, they're loyal, smart and honest. They never ask unnecessary treatment to my cat, sincerely answer all my stupid questions. My husband and I really appreciate them. Thanks so much High Point Animal Hospital!

We thank the doctor and his friendly , knowledgable staff for a great experience . We brought our dog in for the first time knowing he would need surgery. The doctor was so good and we felt at ease with him right away. He explained well and did tests to make sure our dog could handle the anesthetic because he is an older dog and has a bad heart. He gave all costs upfront and did a wonderful operation and dental on our beloved fur baby. The office is clean and organized . We will recommend it to everyone we know . Can you give 10 stars? Mr and Mrs H and Max.

Dr. Shamsher takes pride in his work and his work environment. Fees are in line or less than other vets in area, however he trys to save you money whenever possible. His office and treatment rooms are kept clean and professional - not like most I've seen. saved our pup from surgery when she swallowed two socks at the same time. kept her for monitoring for 3 days with x-rays and without charging large bills. soft spoken and great with animals. Thanks for all your help doc and the rest of the staff at High Point should also be commended. No wonder the feedback is #1 - he cares.

Dr. Shamsher is one of the most dedicated and compassionate Veterinarians a person could find. After a misdiagnosis by a previous vet he not only provided incredible care for our beloved dog, but he was unbelievably sensitive and compassionate when it came time to make the agonizing decision to put him to down. He couldn't have been more competent and as a result of his skill we actually gained two extra years that we otherwise would not have had with our dear beloved dog.

During our first visit, Dr. Shamsher grabbed our min pin and showed such love and care, my wife and I were so surprised. This vet loves animals, and it shows. We just switched vets after lack of results from our first vet with regards to skin issues with our min pin. Prices are very fair. Before any care is given, the dr. outlines the prices so there aren't any surprises at the till. When we go back in 10 days for there is no charge for the follow up visit. This facility, and its' staff receive a perfect score!

I wish the top of this scale was a 10/GREAT because Dr. Shamsher is a FABULOUS vet and all of the other staff there are knowledgable, friendly and excellent. My husband and I just got our first puppy in early July and I had researched vets in our area. Dr. Shamsher won the research contest easily. He is so informative, patient and kind. He takes the time to make sure you fully understand your pet's health and how to apply any medicine on your own at home. Prices are totally reasonable and he doesn't push or sell you anything that you don't need. When I bought 6 months worth of flea preventative they even refunded it back to me and sold me one month so I'll be able to submit the next five months once my dog's pet insurance kicks in, saving me just under $100 bucks. They have such great hours too. I feel so lucky to have found this place, and will bring both my pets here. I highly recommend High Point Animal Hospital. You will not regret taking your pet here.

I came to this vet after two bad experiences with other vets. I was tired of being sold useless exams, tests and treatments - and ending up exactly where I started with my dog's health. I found the care here to be excellent and the vet willing to listen to my concerns, explain what is really necessary, provide options and give the appropriate treatments in a timely manner. This type of vet should be the standard in Canada. Unfortunately, this kind of treatment at vet offices is becoming more and more rare. I big THANK-YOU to the staff! Keep up the good work!

Dr Shamsher is a wonderful, caring person and he brings this to his clinic. His compassion for animals is evident in his care for them. I would not hesitate to recommend this clinic to others. I have 2 dogs and 2 cats and am now taking all of my animals to him. His staff is wonderful and I always feel that my pets and I have had the best of care when I leave.

WOW!! Don't go anywhere else folks...Dr. Shamsher is an amazing vet! My previous vet misdiagnosed my little puppy not once but twice...it was Dr. Shamsher who not only did a thorough exam but also explained to me, in detail, the problem. He is very reasonably priced and his staff is friendly. Very caring and wonderful people. I HIGHLY recommend this place!

I bring my own pets and pets that I rescue to Dr Shamsher. He is a wonderful man who is full of compassion and knows what he is doing. He lets me stay with my pets in the back when they are being treated and always calls me at home to see how they are doing. I wouldn't hesitate on recommending this vet as he is wonderul.
