They shut down for a reason.After a routine spay of our dog she became ill and spent thousands at canwest emergency. Mistakes were made and our dog payed the price. No accountability and no closure for us . Thanks to Canwest for saving her life.

Just got a new puppy! Went to Glenbrook for a check up. Dr. Gibson was extremely helpful and very caring. She answered all my questions and my puppy loved her. I highly recommend this hospital and all it's staff. Good Job!

all they care about here is sucking your wallet dry. Their prices keep going up and up and up. I spent well over 5,000. in a year and a half with my diabetic dog and when they won't give you insulin for your dog without an examination that was the last draw! Found another vet and recommend you do too. Don't let the 2012 Best Vet of New West award fool you .

I have been taking my pets here since they opened and each time the cost of care goes up for no apparent reason, other then they know as caring pet owners we will pay >< I have even asked for quotes only to end up paying more for 'extra' stuff. They cant even get their stories straight when confronted with questions about why test were performed. Im looking for another place to take my pets for care.

This vet is all about the money, recently took my dog in because he seemed disoriented after a walk not only did they charge for the regular exam they added on an emergency charge because we did not have a scheduled appointment. Too make along story short we were ther for no more than 30 minutes and our bill was over $350.00 and we still had no answers, when we complained about the charge they simply told us we could go elsewhere.

DON'T GO THERE!! I took my cat to Glenbrook since she was not eating for 24hrs. Although we had an appointment, they kept us waiting for 45mins in the lobby, and took another 1.5hrs to diagnose and do blood work on her. "Oh she should be fine at home", they said. Guess what? 12hours later my cat was dead!!! Good work, Glenbrook. We lost one of our family member and we're in so much pain right now. Please guys, if you truly love your pet, don't bring him/her there.

First off this vet is easily 20-30% higher priced than other local vets. After spending a couple grand here after a very simple surgery my cat died and the vets did their best to deflect from their culpability. In any event their follow up was minimal and their treatment was poor. They knew i had limited funds, and yet after researching the ailment, discovered that force feeding was the single most crucial factor to his recovery. Why wasn't this suggested the first time i had him in?? two days later the cat is on its death bed. only then you keep my cat, scared in a cage, with no-one around ,to simply stick a syringe of food in his mouth! (Oh right so you could charge me another couple hundred bucks a day). It wasn't until i got a second opinion, I was informed that i should have been force feeding him myself at home long before. Note to GPH, instead of finding ways to line your own pockets you should perhaps recommend treatments that save lives and money! Its called ethics...

I agree with one of the other posters! I have never had anything but the best care here. The staff is great and they really care about you and your pet! If its the money that your spending that is your concern then go else where to somewhere cheaper that doesn't care. I have nothing but good things about this veterinary hospital!

this is not an honest place. I dont think they care about animals sincerely and are only in it for money.!!!! iv spent 700 dollars in a month and they still wanted more tests! Iv gone to a better vet now that actually cares and just wants to help !

Not sure what the cranky postings for Glenbrook were for (and are hard to believe), but I've been nothing but EXTREMELY HAPPY with the care my kitties have received from Glenbrook. The staff is fabulous (and have been there for years) as are the vets (there was a change SEVERAL months ago - the old vet left to due serious medical reasons). Clearly I've had to spend a lot of time there if I know that, but my cats have spent more time. If it wasn't for Glenbrook, I'm not sure one of my cats would still be alive. Thank you soooooooo much to everyone there!!!!

i cant believe the change in this clinic and staff. money money money money. i mean over charge over charge. and yeah nothing they do is for customer service after the amount of money they made me pay on useless blood work on my sneezing dog. really

this clinic over charges to walk in the door. i was pressured into filling out balots to make sure they won best in new west.thats why they won they have been trying for years to get it since they broke awayfrom burnaby new west they have gotten it. its taken them 10years to get best in new west so what does that say.a different dr every time i go in.same thing as bby/nw its pathetic why?is it that they cant get a doctor to stay on staff? im sick and tired of the run around with tests ive gotten from them, 2000 dollars and still no answer. im done with these vets

Dr. McKenzie has been wonderful and very easy to talk to during a difficult time I've been having with my dog. Even offering his personal email if I had any further questions. It's very refreshing to have such an open line of communication. The value of services is very good and I've never felt like I've been taken advantage of. Everything is always with the best of intentions. Thank you!

I must say it is a very good vet. The staff there is friendly. Doctor Chow is so nice, responsible and knowledgeable. She even refers my dog to the specialist because my dog probably needs surgery.

Dr. Miller and staff are some of the most caring professionals I have ever met. Never have I felt rushed or felt that my questions were not answered. Dr. Miller performed delicate surgery on my dogs leg, this entailed re breaking the bone and inserting pins and an external brace.All my options were carefully explained to me. She needed a biopsy done and Dr. Miller asked the lab to have another technician recheck the findings just to double check the findings.She didn't have to do this. When my other doctor moved to the island I visited other clinics trying to find one that my "girls" and I felt comfortable with. Dr. Miller and staff are the ones that we went with We are so happy with Glenbrook Pet Care. Their fees are more than reasonable. I have been a dog owner for more than 40 years, and have been to my share of vets. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr.Miller .

Dr. Miller & Staff are FABULOUS! they fit my little dog in at the end of a busy day-and i hadn't even made an appointment. they stayed over-time and took their time to help us. they all dearly care about animals & are very knowledgeable. To top it off- Dr. & Staff were wonderful in dealing with ME ! The manner in which they explained everything, to dealing with me emotionally was outstanding- best i have ever been treated in a Vet's (we all know us pet owners act like deranged parents at time ;-> ) i am definitely going back.

Dr Miller and her staff are wonderful. They truly love the animals they deal with. Dr Miller even gave my son's pet rat a smooch on the head. :) I did have a tiny bit of trouble understanding Dr M when I first went, but now it's not an issue. She's amazing and smart as a whip.

Dr. Miller has looked after my Yorkie and thanks to her my pup is healthy again. Dr. Miller also is very good with parrots (I have 4) and I would trust her in an emergency with my pets. She has worked closely with Dr. Anne McDonald of Night Owl Bird Hospital and has gained much avian experience from the best Avian Vet in the province therefore I recommend her services to anyone looking for a vet that has a lot of experience in many areas, is competent in all of them and has a caring attitude about your pet while still maintaining a reasonable billing attitude. It is clear she loves all animals, as does her wonderful staff and she won't gouge your bank account in time of trouble.

I recently discovered Dr. Miller and her staff when my 12 year old dog required emergency treatment. I am thrilled to have finally found a Vet that truly cares about my animal more than my finances. Dr. Miller was very thorough with her examination of my dog and at no time did I feel rushed. She performed delicate surgery on my dog's ear and the tiny stitches were truly a work of art. The staff is equally as caring and friendly as Dr. Miller. The rooms are spotlessly clean and are new and bright. In addition to all other considerations are the kudos to Dr. Miller for her determination and will to overcome her challenges with her deafness and become a Vet despite this hurdle. I cannot express how thrilled I am to have discovered Glenbrook Pet Care. Many, many thanks. Loni (mother of Quinn).

Dr. Miller and staff are WONDERFUL!!!! They work together as a team- you can tell from the moment you walk through the door until you leave. They are very good with cats, mine can be difficult but they treated her with gentle care, my last vet (in New West) had to use long leather gloves and was quite rough with her. I can’t say enough about how honest and caring she and all the staff are. They have a Very CLEAN hospital and up to date equipment, I asked questions. Dr. Miller is a very competent surgeon (just look at her spay incision!). I can’t believe Dr. Miller is deaf, she has achieved so much- more than I can imagine!! Communication with her was very easy. Thank goodness Dr. Miller came to Glenbrook Pet Hospital and I’m so thankful I found her. Keep up the EXCELLENT CARE of our pets, I know you all love our pets as much as we do. YOU ARE THE BEST IN NEW WESTMINSTER!

I have been both a client and employee of Dr. Millers she is very dedicated to her vocation. She is compansionate and does whats best for the anmial not the dollar value. Highly recommend if you want straight up pet care

We have only been going there for a short time, and find Jennifer (the new Vet) extremely good. I have owned dogs my entire life and have always been somewhat cynical when it came to vets prolonging life with useless and expensive tests and procedures. Our black Lab of 14 years recently became very ill, and I found Jennifer very compassionate, caring and responsible. If we had wanted to do heroic measures she would have supported us, but her recommendation's sound and we chose to help Winston with dignity.
We had two dogs at the time, and thanks to the addition of Sugar, our new Yellow Lab, we are a two dog family again, and Jennifer is our Vet for as long as she remains at Glenbrook.
I could not be more pleased with the level of care, knowledge and commitment form her and her entire staff.
I recommend Glenbrooke to everyone I know, and everyone I don't know.
An excellent facility.
