I have had 2 bad results from this business, following equine surgery. There is no follow up or concern for the animal or result , only making money . The first surgery was a mare with a small lump under her jaw that needed to be removed. The surgeon saw us unload , on schedule, but drove away to mail something in town and made us wait . The explanation after surgery was confusing and vague and my mare had a rope burn on her pastern and a filthy wad of foul smelling blood soaked gauze sutured under her jaw . The suturing was a mess. Because this is the only surgery center in our area and all of the local vets refer to them I again tryed to have confidence in their reputation and used a different surgeon for my geldings operation . The surgery was not successful and my horse was sent home with massive swelling . His sheath burst and drained and 4 months later he has a mass 3x as large and painful as before surgery. Dr. Jackman has not returned my request for a returned phone call .
