Doctor Joel English is the best vet in the Burlington area. He is very thorough and knowledgeable. He does not make you feel pressured and provides an honest and open treatment discussion. I would highly recommend bringing your pets to River Cove Animal Hospital to see Dr. English.

A few years ago, I took my Cocker to them to clean her teeth. My usual vet lived 30 miles away since our move & I hadn't found new vet. Their prices on cleanings were good so I scheduled an appt. When I brought my Cocker to them, I explained in GREAT detail that she had seizures and gave them the names of meds she was on. Then, I told them specifically which anesthesia my old vet used on her. Other anesthesias could be bad for her, please use "this one" and particularly, never use "this one." I gave them my old vet's name and phone number and assured them he was at his office and would verify all I told them. I was told I'd be called, probably could pick her up by 12:30. I kept calling, they said she wasn't quite ready. Finally, I went over & demanded her to be brought out at 4pm. She could barely walk, they used the wrong anestesia! It turns out, that anesthesia made her have a stoke (she was 4!) I wouldn't bring a dead skunk to them. No, really. Run, don't walk out of here.

Very kind and compassionate, knowledgeable and professional. I have several dogs and a cat and they recieve excellent care from River Cove
