We have been taking our dogs to this vet for over 10 years, they are now called NEW England Animal Medical Center. Our dog required major surgery in which we had to put 80% of $5000.00 down. We did this, they performed the surgery, we spoke with the surgeon and went to visit our dog. When we went to visit the dog I asked for copy of the bill to see if I owed more money. The bill came out significantly less (positive). They told me the dog needed to stay one more night to see how he did off IV and it would be one nights fee. The next day I went to pick my dog up and the bill had gone up 500 dollars and additional charges were made predated to when I received the invoice. As I question this for clarification the staff became rude and uncooperative. I called back on the next business day to get my refund and was actually spoken down to for having the audacity to ask for clarification on my bill. The vet told me I was not welcome back for my behavior.

They are only interested in your money. My dog was just about dead when brought into them and should have been put down. Vet came out and gave my sister false hope - my husband said "he needs to be put down" (he raised dogs in Ireland and knew there was no hope for Champ)- my sister was all emotional and decided that they could "try" based on vet advice at midnight. 9 AM vet called and said "he is suffering and must be put down immediately - if someone wants to be here, get here now". My sister went to comfort him, and before they let her into see him they pulled her into a separate room and asked for another $200 - which we did not have (we had already paid $2,000 - when if they had put him down the night before it would have been an overall bill of $200). Disgusting vile people. They kept my dog alive long enough to increase the bill. I was a long term customer-since the 1980's when they were small and cared (I have spent big $$$ there). The bigger they got, the greedier they got.
