I went to a banfield in lexington, two of my dogs and 1 cat go there, i don't know why considering their bad service. the first thing I don't like is that they automaticly schedule appiotments without telling you. I also hate their wellness plan coverage, sure, it covers basic care, but when you come in for a emergency, you get serious sticker shock,a and you pay over $264 a year in monthly payments and they are always raising rates. they also care about money and making a extra buck than the animals, they reccomend a bunch of crazy medicines and surguries that pets don't need to make money. they once wanted me to pay $80 for some "medicated" ear cleaners when they said she had a ear infection. we went to petsmart and found ear cleaning pads for $8 that worked just as well, and now they are trying to make us get sergury for my chihuahua because they claim that not all her baby teeth have fallen out yet that will probably cost over $500, go to a vet that cares about your pet.

Hello, I recently took my cat to banfield and was quoted 3x the amount at another vet. Also the last time my pet was ill they told me she would be fine however I had to handfeed her for 10 days through a dropper. She was not fine. I would do anything for my cats. But I really feel as though they were trying to rip me off. Also to add injury to insult they tried to get me to buy thier insurance. which was very high and you still have to pay everything up front. I dont think this vet cares about animals just money.

This is the worst vet I have ever been to. I couldn't believe the unnecessary charges on my bill. They even tried to charge me to clean up the mud that dogs tracked in from outside! I would have cleaned it up myself, but they insisted. They charged me $800 dollars for a dental cleaning, and there wasn't even anything wrong with my dog's teeth AND while they were cleaning the teeth, one of his teeth broke in half and they just pretended not to notice. Also, the veterinarian picked her nose and ate the booger, I saw it. She didn't even wash her hands afterward, and how sanitary is that?! Imagine if she picked up your precious pet after having picked at her snotty nose. Disgusting. RUN AWAY FROM BANFIELD!

Left my dog all alone overnight and did not check on her the next day as it was Sunday as my dog was the only pet there....so why bother...right? I was told I would be called Sunday morning with a report and she would probably get to come home. She was being treated for throwing up and diarreia. If I had not called Sunday afternoon my sweet dog would have stayed another night all by herself. I was told they did not have my correct phone # but when the BILL was printed put and given to me there was my phone # as big as you please and it was CORRECT ! The bill was out of sight...charges for things that were not needed and some that seem to be double charges. Stay away from this place!!!!

Had a dog with undiagnosed stage IV lymphoma. The nodes in his neck were extremely swollen and he presented with vomiting. Veterinarian decided to do lots of unnecessary tests, none for lymphoma, and kept him for two days to treat his "upset stomach". When vet had gotten her money's worth and our dog was near death, she suggested that we take him to a specialty vet in town. He was diagnosed within 30 minutes after seeing a vet at the new facility. He responded well to chemo but the cancer had progressed too much and he died shortly thereafter. Banfield pressured us to sign up for a year's worth of insurance for a dog who 1. they knew had end stage cancer and 2. they could not treat.

Seems they don't care who walks in and takes over ownership of pets of other people. My sister lost her cat to her roommate, he walked in and changed names on the owner papers, my sister didn't even know it. District Attorney said he didn't fight for cats in court cases, wow, what a lawyer!!
