Unfriendly staff (one even walked through a door, saw me standing there with a heavy carrier in both hands, and didn't even hold the door open), they made us come in an hour before we were seen, and they overcharged us (and charged us for something they didn't do). We took our chinchilla in for seizures he was having. The vet first said "oh it's probably stress related" and then launched into a sales pitch for some dog/cat homeopathic anxiety relief (that is dangerous to chinchillas and rabbits, because it has valerian root in it). Then she left the room, and an assistant came in with a print out of procedures the vet was going to do. We were supposed to sign that. After doing a blood draw and xrays the vet decided our chinchilla didn't actually have seizures and it was nothing to worry about. We took him to Gainesway (awesome place), where he was diagnosed with epilepsy! We spent almost $400 at Pennyroyal, and only $62 at Gainesway. All Pennyroyal cares about is selling their stuff.

Dr. Z. is an awesome exotic doctor, but their staff is sometimes less than friendly.
